Old and expensive!

No complementary breakfast, which is a big downside.
The restaurant serving breakfast charged 8 USD for a bowl of oatmeal and the buffet was very very limited compared to price level.
Location close to the rim was great though!

Fine for a Resort Town Hotel

*The staff was great! We were severely delayed coming in due to weather and weren't going to make it for our first night, and the staff simply moved our reservation back a day to ensure that we didn't lose our room. Staff at the pub were very attentive as well.
*The arcade/bowling alley, and nightly s'mores were a nice touch!
*Access to GCNP is really easy.
Not-as-goods:
*Food was underwhelming for the price. Breakfast buffet was continental quality, but cost $20 per person.
*The first room we got had messy beds and looked as if it hadn't been turned over (thankfully we got a different room).
*There's ongoing updating and construction going on, which is probably good because the hotel screams that it was built in the 70s.
*Rooms were moderately comfortable. Wasn't blown away, but wasn't bad. Bed was so well used to the point that there was a large sunk-in spot that you couldn't avoid.
*There's soooooo little going on in Tusayan, food especially. Don't go in thinking it's going to be Springdale, UT. Can't really fault the Squire for this, though.

Fast, friendly and knowledgeable checkin. Construction going on around the facility but it was clean and quiet, difficult to find the entrance for checkin but once we did everything was great.

This hotel is under renovation. Hard to find the check in.
Housekeeping did not replenish everything.
At 11, check out time there was nobody at the front desk.
Four couples left their keys and did not get receipts.

Good stay. It’d be nice if dining started earlier. Lots of loud visitors and then drilling started for revamping so didn’t sleep much. One particular “check in” employee was rude. I asked for a game card and he said he gave one already. Not the case. He chuckled and said “interesting”. Same person didn’t understand my request for a SEPARATE room and living room. Not two rooms! Housekeeping and bartenders awesome! Food perfect! Checkin (1 person particular) needs to lighten up.
