Great hotel experience

This is a great value for families. Stepping out in the morning to picture perfect Tuscany landscapes is delightful. We stayed in the Castello proper a few years ago and I admit I was disappointed to stay in one of the out buildings this time but it accommodated our family of five nicely. We arrived just in time for the on-site restaurant to add us for dinner the first night and it was a TREAT! We could get to the outskirts of Florence in 25-30 minutes and using this as a launch point for day trips to Cinque Terra and Tuscan farm activities to the South was precisely why we came here again. Driving back up into the hills was like coming home. Don't miss that last turn though! LOL

The front desk hostess, Valentina, helped with all our questions about the castle and Tuscany. The property is beautiful and you really feel like you are back in time.

Nice rooms, no AC which isn't much of an issue in the summer since it gets pretty cool at night, though we also had to deal with mosquitoes which were prolific in July. Great getting to stay in a castle overall.

This castle is in the rural area west of Florence and is a good base to see the area. I would not advise staying here for more than a few nights. The reception team are disorganised and lack a the training in making their guests feel welcome, maybe a few courses on hosting.
The restaurant is good and food excellent. The views amazing. They need a few extras in the apartments to make things easier for guests if the are cooking.
It’s a nice place that needs a little extra to make it great.
