Mycket för pengarna och oväntat bra restaurang

Oväntat bra restaurang med fin inredning och vällagad mat, mycket prisvärda rum och väldigt bra service. Fin pool som uppskattades enormt av barnet.

While this hotel is wonderful - please be advised if booking through hotels.com or any other booking agent, the pool use is not included and is chargeable at £10 per person. It is only free if you book direct with the hotel. This would be my only real complaint as guests shouldn’t be discriminated against for their choice of booking platform.

Beware - Price does not include Pool use!

Beware! There has been a change in policy. Apparently if you book this hotel via Expedia/Hotels.com you cannot use the pool without an extra charge. Nowhere on the booking does it state this. I have stayed in this hotel many times and this policy is new. My family and I went to the pool and were refused entry, they then made me go to reception to sort it out, reception tried to charge me £30 which I refused.

A Mixed Bag

A mixed experience. Parts of the hotel are tired, and there are dead flies in the lampshades in the bar. The food is good, and the reception was very good, but evening room service wasn’t answered for 30 minutes then when it was I was told I couldn’t be served as they couldn’t take payment. Paying extra for the spa seems a bit much when you’ve already paid for a room.

Heating not working in room

Heating was not working in the room. Room was cold on arrival and cold in evening. Resolved with portable radiator. Not the best a for a spa hotel
