Good hotel for business trips
Inskickad 21 jan. 2019 på HotelsClean and good service. Good hotel for business trips. Good location next to a big park which can be used for running. Close way to Airport. Helpful personnel. 3 restaurants, unfortunately some of them are closed 2 days a week. God equipment's in gym.

Pick a different hotel
Inskickad 29 sep. 2018 på HotelsThe gloorydays of this huge hotell are long gone. The bad service started already at the airport transfer where the driver relaxed in the parkinglot instead of meeting in the terminal. This is never communicated in the email from the reception when they confirmed the airport transfer.
No online checkin if the reservation is made from Hotels.com. Slow checkin as many workers are busy talking instead of helping customers.
Taxis at the hotell are 3-4 times as expensive compared with the taxis outside and none of the drivers speak english. Reception was not interested to help translate my destination.
The metal detector at the entrance is a joke as half of the guests go next to it and when it beeps noone is there to check you anyway.
Rooms are old and worn down, door key-cards need constant reprograming as they lose info. Free minibar with soda and water and free drinks and cake at the 4th floor vip club which noone tells you about.
Fitness center is ok but changing rooms to the fitness and pool are grose. The pool area is also worn down and the pool is missing safetybar over the filters where you can cut your feet.
Breakfast is poor with more pastries than hot food and veggies. But worst thing is the smokers who are enjoying their first cigarets at the breakfast table. Disgusting! Pick another hotel.
Almost forgot, they charged me twice as they told me the room was not paid for. Still not solved...

Die Unterkunft ist absolut nicht auf dem Sofitel 5-Sterne Standard. Eher ein in die Jahre gekommenes 3-4 Sterne Hotel. Das Personal sagt zudem mehr "Nein" als "Ja" bei simplen Fragen wie z.B. einem neuen Handtuch - sehr enttäuschend. Die Zimmer sind in sehr schlechtem Zustand (Bett durchgelegen und alles schmuddelig und alt). Das Essen ist mittelmässig und total überteuert. Das Gym ist jedoch top ausgestattet und der Pool ist schön gemacht mit einem Indoor und Outdoor Bereich. Zudem bieten sie einen gratis Flughafen Shuttle und gratis Zugang zum Botanischen Garten an.

We liked the pool, but the room was definitely not 5 star, the floor in the room was very uneven, the door would not close properly. The porter was very friendly, but reception staff were not so friendly. Bees feast was very average, and all very expensive, did not meet expectations.

Un grand hôtel avec toutes les infrastructures et accès direct au plus beau jardin botanique en Algérie ,malgré quelques désagréments qui ont été vite résolu je reviendrai très prochainement je considère que ce sofitel rempli largement mes critères de bon séjour à Alger
