Vinh Hung Riverside Resort

I had booked a superior garden view room (huge, well equipped, and comfortable) but on arrival upgraded to a river view room - well worth it with a comfortable shady verandah to laze away the hot part of the day watching the river traffic. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, the free hotel ferry into Hoi An is an absolute bonus, the location is quiet and peaceful, the beds are super comfortable. Highly recommended!

Très bien placé pour visiter la vieille ville de Hoi An (au calme mais à 2 pas du centre ville), personnel très serviable et à l'écoute, belle piscine (avec bar dans la piscine), petites animations culinaires très appréciables. Un petit détail: l'eau de la piscine était trop chaude!

Loved this hotel. Great pool, huge room, clean, good choice at breakfast. Staff friendly, my husband purchased a vietnam phrase book,the staff were happy to help him learn new words each day, even testing him. The grounds are lovely and peaceful and look pretty lit up at night. an easy walk into town. Bike hire out the front $1 a day, $8 for a motorbike, $1 for 1 kilo laundry. Will stay here again.

The gardens and the outer appearance of this hotel is great. However, our room was not up to the standard we expected, particularly as we had booked a superior room. It was small in size, the refrigerator wasn't working initially, the power adaptor had duct tape wrapped around it and gave us a bit of a shock and the bed felt like a lump of concrete. It was very noisy outside, although this was not the hotel's fault. The pool is great although the towels are so thin, you can almost see through them. They were the same in the room. When we asked for a couple of extra hours before we checked out, we were asked to pay $10.00 an hour, although the hotel was obviously not fully booked. The afternoon market was a great idea as it gave us an opportunity to taste the local fare. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. Overall, if we had been given the room we had asked for, we might have enjoyed our stay a bit more.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in march, for 5 nights in room 708 - double deluxe facing onto the river Pros: - free wifi in room. - the mini-bar isn't a rip off. 20,000D for a 1L of water - really quiet location, 5 minute walk to the bridge across to the old town. - really quiet and lovely decorated rooms. There was some motor noise river traffic every morning about 7am with commuters, but it was fine. -the rooms on the other side of the pool (#300 range, #400 range, and #603) were smaller but identical decorations and quality - free 'country market' every afternoon at 4.30. It was the same food every night though, so we only went twice. - big pool with a spa that seemed only to go on after about 4pm?. Cons: - Breakfast was always cold no matter how early we got there. - I paid $25 for an asian massage, and endured 45 minutes of a loud ticking clock and musty smelling towls in a prison cell sized room!

Tolle Lage innerhalb eines wunderschönen tropischen Gartens. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber, ebenso war die Bettwäsche in einwandfreier, blütenweißer Kondition. Das Bad war ok, man konnte aber die Zeichen der Zeit deutlich erkennen. Nicht gefallen haben mir die angegilbten Polyester-Duschvorhänge und die dünnen, ausgefransten Tücher, die leider immer leicht dreckig und grau aussahen...Gleiches gilt für die Pool-Tücher. Service: geputz wurde schnell, aber nicht gründlich. Bei uns standen tagelang benutzte Aschenbecher oder Reste vom Obstteller rum. Frühstück: Reichlich, aber leider Quantität statt Qualität. Außerdem gab es scharenweise Fliegen an der Wurst bzw. am Gemüse, welches nicht abgedeckt war. Personal: sehr feundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem würde ich 3 von fünf Sternen verteilen, Preis/ Leistung stimmten leider nicht so ganz.

Nice location by river and 10min walk to old town. Rooms are spacious

The hotel was a little disappointing because the swimming pool was being renovated and therefore not in use, and other building was going on. This made it a little noisy and not as relaxing as we hoped. The staff were very courteous though.

Very good location in walking distance from Old Town and really friendly staff.
