La Quinta Inn McAllen

This hotel has that you need for one night. The room was clean, breakfast was very good. Electronics too old. But In overall was good.

Breakfast was poor, milk was kept out without cooling available. Their advertisement for waffles meant open the package & slip them in the toaster. But probably the worst were the dead flowers in glass bowls of slimy water at your breakfast table. Although a pool was advertised, it was not heated and in the winters of TX, you need heated pools. (It would be nice if you could differentiate heated from non-heated pools.) Room was OK, but only one washcloth between the two of us for 3 out of 5 days. When we asked, they apparently didn't have anymore.

I had no complaints. The staff was very friendly and provided us with items we needed. I would definitely stay there again.

Friendly folks, and quick processing. Room was comfortable and clean, and the towels were delightfully thick. Slightly disappointed that the website implies that the hotel is next to the (new) convention center;in point of fact, it was right next door to the old one!

Take my advice and stay somewhere else. The atmosphere that surrounded everything about this hotel was shaddy, cheap and with minimal effort.

Clean, nice room, good service. Continental breakfast area was flooded w/ people, and not always enough food. Good price.

I needed a quiet place to stay while visiting family. The hotel was clean and quiet, and I enjoyed having both a desk and a reclining chair.

Good, basic hotel room for the price. Wireless Internet was spotty, but the front desk provided an Ethernet cable. Door lock seemed a little flimsy and the bathtub fixtures were a little wobbly. Otherwise, fine. Bed was comfortable and a/c kept the room nice and cool. Room was clean. Located near a highway, so convenient, tucked in among fast-food restaurants.

Easy access coming from the main highways. Great customer service. Room really clean. High speed internet and cable TV. I slept like a baby!

This place was almost acceptable for the price but It fell short in a very important area when it comes to sleeping, which is noise level. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the climate control is acceptable, but there is just too much road traffic noise at night. Perhaps the traffic noise was due to it being a weekend, but there were cars with their loud music, reving their engines at very late hours of the night, which could be heard from the back of the hotel on the third floor. Other than that, everything else was acceptable.
