The Hotel Staff was Tremendous. The Hotel though had a Very Bad smell to it....Very bad in the hallway outside our door and in our room. The weight room and the wash room was great...the pool....not too much to say....Little?

Walking into the room was like walking into an ashtray, it completely stunk of smoke. It seems like the whole 3rd floor was a smoking floor because even the hallway stunk of smoke and there is only 3 floors. To say the least I left the hotel as I was not able to stay the night and they were not able to give me a different room nor a refund. I will never stay here again and do NOT recommend it. Also the pool was very small and there were a bunch of drunks every where, NOT a family place at all. The gas station a block away is a pool of alcoholics and possible homeless people, very questionable neighborhood.

The room was amazingly clean & the bed was so comfortable i could have easily slept in & missed my meetings. The staff was professional & nice. My meeting was downtown and it was very easy to get to from this location. I am a female & was traveling by my self & i felt safe at this hotel which is extremely important to me. Will definitely try to stay here next time I'm in corpus.

The hotel was newer however there was a hair in my sheet....gross! and somehow I accidently book a smoking room but put non-smoking under special requests. The hotel was booked for the night so they couldn't switch my room but if they were not the front desk guy said it would be a 30 or 40 charge. I thought that was crazy.

as soon as i stepped off the elevator it smelled nothing but smoke i walked in the room and there was a wash basket full of dirty towels on the bed there were 3-small trash cans in the room 1 in the bathroom and 2-small ones elsewhere there all had trash in them i had to leave and go buy some air freshner and come back and spray the room and hallway will not be back at candlewood.

non smoking but it still smell like a smoking room. my girlfriend nose hurt from the smell of smoke odor.

The room was comfortable, no breakfast the next morning, burned coffee. The night's sleep was interrupted by over an hours worth of dragracing on the streets nearby The staff said they didn't hear anything, so nothing was done and no police were called. The pool was like a kiddies poll--very small. The snack area was clean and well stocked, and it was interesting to see an honor system being used. It was not a good night's rest with the noise. To get a good night's rest, request a room on the front of the building, not the back.

Took my wife and grandchildren on a weekend vacation before school started. All of us enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel staff were very attentive, including the manager. The rooms were clean, and having teenagers, were happy to have a small kitchenette so we could make sandwiches, etc. Will certainly make a return trip.

I was in Corpus Christi for graduation. The location was central for various activities. The hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Worked well for the occasion.

Very nice room with full size fridge & microwave. Kitchen furnished with silverware, plates, cups & glasses. I just wish they had an ice machine. The fridge had an icemaker, but made only about 4 cubes overnight.
