Stayed here with my daughter to visit the university. Place worked well, within walking distance to the campus. We did not have to drive at all while in town. I noticed they have an airport shuttle too, so rental car is only needed if you want to look outside of town. Rooms were clean and neat. Bathroom was small, but funcitonal. Fitness room was superior to most. Two computers provide in the lobby worked well. Lobby is nice. Breakfast can be purchased at the restaurant in the lobby, but there are lots of local options as well.

The rooms are a nice size for the price. I stayed in a suite and had a master bedroom and an office for the price that would get me a closet sized room back home. The check-in was pleasant. The shuttle to the airport is wonderful and accomodating. The only issue I had was minor lipstick stains on towels. Replaced the towels and all was good.

The Parkview was in a great location to the university and the staff was really friendly. The room was big and comfortable. We did have a hard time stabilizing the temperature in the room though...no thermostat.

This is an exquisite hotel in the heart of Syracuse, close to Crouse Hospital and only a few blocks from Armory Square. It is a Leed Certified Platinum building and the entire service culture is built around sustainable practice. Great place to stay when visiting Syracuse University. In and out use of the parking lot very convenient for $10.00 a day!

I had to wait for someone to open the door because only one person was on staff and he was helping someone else in their room. Although very friendly, it took him a few tries to get my room key to work. Room was terrible, dirty and smelly. Great location in downtown Syracuse (very close to the night life)

We had a 6 hour drive to the hotel on a motorcycle. When we got there my wife said if we could have a room in the front so that we can watch the motorcycle. My wife said the clerk looked at the other clerk and gave us a room. The room was at the corner of the hotel next to the main road. The room was very loud and we could not sleep and the air-conditioning did not turn on. Also there was no bathtub and the bathroom was small. The clerk should of told us the room was noisy expecially when he saw we had a long trip on a motorcycle not in a car.

I have stayed at this hotel on two different ocassions. Please know that there are no drawers in the room to put items (underware, clothes, etc.) There are a few shelves available.
Overall, the hotel experience was good especially compared to overly expensive hotel immediately next door on E. Genesee Street.

Mine was a stay where my expectations were met in the traditional sense of a Holiday Inn stay. Just what you need, nothing too frilly, but with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service. This particular HI was a large property with spacious, clean pool and lots of meeting space. The rooms were updated and very clean, well-appointed and with comfortable beds and ample comfortable pillows. Perfect for a short visit and at a reasonable rate.

We arrived late in the evening, after 11 pm, the staff was present, awake, and helpful showing me the back door so I could access the room quickly with my children. The room was very spacious, shockingly so, and fit my small family.
For the price and the space this room was close to perfect. The free breakfast only helped, the free internet was also nice. Only takeaway if any was the lack of choice at breakfast.
The staff even had a wine opener! Great experience!

Only stayed here one night but I would definitely come back. Everything was very clean, everything worked and I liked that the rooms were fairly large. It was nice that it had a steakhouse attached to the restaurant.
One negative that I would say is that it's further from the city of Syracuse than I thought it was. But if you're going to something at the Fairgrounds this is a must-stay.

This is the third time we've stayed there. One of the reasons we first tried this hotel was their pet acceptance. If they did not have this we would have stayed at another hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff upon checkin very nice and the breakfast was an added plus. We will continue to use this hotel for the future. The price was ust right also.

The real scoop on Red Carpet Inn

We arrived at the hotel expecting it to be a '70's" type motel. We weren't disappointed.
Having read many reviews, we did expect it to be a little more upscale than it was.
We had a non-smoking room but we could smell smoke in the hallway and a faint smell of smoke in the room.
Let me hurry to say, the room was clean and the bathroom well stocked. Unfortunately, the maid didn't leave washcloths and drinking glases one day and we had to ask for them.
On our last day there, we noticed that the shower and the toilet hadn't been cleaned. Since we checked out at 4:30 AM, there was no one to tell.
When you get right down to it, we probably got what we paid for. We were looking for "cheap" and we found it.

This hotel provided what I needed - close to the airport - free WiFi without any fuss. Free continental breakfast but Denny's in reach if one want a cooked one. The room was clean and comfortable. HBO available on TV.

We were visiting the area and just needed some where to sleep for a couple days. It was close to a lot of fast food place and had a Dunkin Donuts in the parking lot. The continental breakfast consisted for coffee, bagels with cream cheese, and packaged danishes. The cleaning staff gave us new towels but did not make the bed, take out the trash, or give us new shampoo. The desk staff were average at best and even slightly strange. Other guests at the hotel were also very strange and I would not advise staying here with children or for those that scare easily. But you get what you pay for!

we went to a sporting event at a local college and decided to stay the night. We wanted someplace very reasonable and clean also pet friendly.RedRoof delivered as promised. Great rate clean room, super Italian Restaurant (Joey's) right next door. So pleased.

Business trip for job interview and exploration of possible housing. I booked only one night but when i heard the predictions for heavy snow the next day, i was able to hold the room for the next night and front desk was very accommodating about this even thought they only had a few rooms available. However, false alarm with bad weather and in the morning easily cancelled the second night reservation.

My family of 3 needed a place to stay while visiting relatives in Syracuse. I was hoping that this Days Inn would be solid but it honestly was subpar in every way except the service which was friendly and effective (if a little casual & unprofessional). The room was pretty dirty (carpet, phone, drawers, dust on furniture, etc) and had a broken radiator grill, curtains, and bathroom ventilation fan. The location was fine but ugly. The lobby, halls and elevator were all dingy.

The room was smaller than I expected but it was overall a good hotel. Staff is very friendly. The only bad thing is that there is no parking in the area and parking cost $30 a night.

Comfortable place to stay

We visited and spent all our time with family. It was a comfortable place to go after a busy day. The beds were comfortable. The room could have been a little cleaner. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed for awhile. Also, when we needed clean washcloths, we weren't able to get them in the morning before we left for the day and when we returned in the evening, none were available then. These were small matters. We will definitely stay with you folks again.

We stayed here as we wanted to checkout the Carousal Center Mall. The location was great it took only 5 min to get to the Center. Rooms were okay but the lighting in the rooms is TERRIBLE!!!!! Very dark even with lights on and almost impossible to put on make up to get ready especially in the bathroom. Breakfast was good..nice selection. The pool and the hottub were nicely maintained with a lifeguard on duty as well. Overall a good place for the money.

Nice continental breakfast. Basic room, good for price. Lowest price in area over an NCAA tournament weekend. Met our needs to visit family in downtown Syracuse, short drive into city. VERY friendly and efficient staff. Confirmed our non-smoking request.

We stayed at the Clarion during the Women's National Bowling Tournament. I was disappointed because our room wasn't a suite as I thought it would be and, unlike the description, we did not have a refrigerator in our room. Despite that, the hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. It is in a remote part of Syracuse where you have a travel a few miles to get to typical amenities such as stores, restaurants, etc. Yet, it was a comfortable stay.

nice place to stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Only complaint is that it is in the middle of no where. Had to travel 20 minutes to get to a decent restaurant.
