We love this hotel!
This was our 3rd visit - and confirmed what we already felt. It has very comfortable beds - clean and quite spacious rooms. In the past we have stayed there with our cats - who are very welcome. Everything is on the ground floor - so, easy access - and the breakfast is varied and very good - with cooked eggs and sausage as well as the usual. Far superior to the other hotels in town we have stayed at. The only thing that would have made the stay MORE enjoyable would be less bulky and softer pillows.

We arrived at 10:30 pm. Our room was waiting for us - clean and very comfortable. Generous hot breakfast buffet was included inprice.

Family Reunion Fun
Hotel was great, very clean, and indoor pool was great. Location was good, lots of shopping close by. Ausable Chasm is within about a half hour drive, and Fort Tironderoga within an hour. Ferry to Vermont also within a half hour. Only downfall to trip was lack of travel information for family activities. Wanted to either go-kart or possibly rent jet skis, and there wasn't anything located close by for either.

Great reunion week!
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Smithfield Inn in Plattsburgh. We were busy and in & out every day but always came back to a clean, fresh and restocked room. The full breakfast every morning was delicious and the service outstanding. We used the conference center and excercise room numerous times and found everything clean and very comfortable. We will stay there again when we return to the area and highly recommend the Best Western Smithfield Inn. Do try a stay there, it feels like home!

Be very careful booking this hotel!
The hotel was old and outdated, but it was clean and the staff was friendly. The reason for my poor score was that this hotel shows up as being close to Burlington. It's not! It takes over an hour, as well as a $20 ferry ride to get there, as it's on the other side of Lake Champlain. This should never have popped up on the list of hotels close to Burlington as it gives the false impression that it's close. I wasted 3 hours of travel time and spent a lot of gas money and a ferry fee, because this hotel was mislabeled.

plattsburgh overnighter
very nice hotel. room was clean,everything worked, walls were a but thin but tolerable. continental breakfast was great and food was hot and fresh. will be back soon. The only issue was the snow removal which might not be the hotel but who they contract, I would replace them. If it was the hotel not a very good job at all.
