Wyndham Garden Manhattan Chelsea West

OK hotel - especially by NY standards. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

My wife and I stayed there for 9 nights, hotel is very basic, no fancy services, no proper breakfast even in the restaurant beside, or any other things for good hotels, but overall there was nothing bad either, the room was big enough, the bathroom was ok, maybe missing a bit more of storage space for clothes in the room, but we managed. The best thing for me of the hotel is the location, right next to Flatiron, 5 min. away walking from Union Square, 10 min. walk to Macy's and Empire State building, plenty of good restaurants around... we enjoyed our stay there, and we would recommend it to anyone that does not want to stay in Midtown, which is the least inspiring part of New York, but prefer to stay closer to downtown, the village, etc. in my opinion the best parts of Manhattan, and very easy to cross to Williamsburg or Brooklyn Heights, which is absolutely fantastic!

I was so pleased with our stay at this hotel. I had stayed at Wyndhams before, so, I was not suprised by the quality. The room was cozy and beautiful. While it was smaller than most rooms I am used to staying in, it was not an issue, and it was understandable, being that it is in NYC, and there are only 8 rooms per floor. The staff was so kind and helpful with anything we needed help with. They assisted us with all questions about subways and transportation. The housekeeping was great. We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinners at a place called the Corner Cafe which is diagonal from the hotel...great fresh food and desserts/coffee for very reasonable prices. There is nothing I would change about this hotel. I would never have dreamed we could stay in such a beautiful Manhatten hotel on our budget, but, Wyndham made it possible. You can't go wrong with Wyndham! You won't be disappointed. Lastly, the neighborhood felt very safe; we walked alone a lot after dark. We were one block from the Subway which was so helpful. This hotel is in walking distance to resteraunts, retail, historical buildings, etc. There is a drugstore around the corner, and plenty of places to pick up anything you forgot to bring from home.

We were staying in the city for the night to celebrate my boyfriend's b/day. We chose this hotel for 1- price and 2 - location. It is pretty close to all of the great restaurants and clubs in Chelsea. The room was incredibly comfortable for the price and we were very excited about the 12 pm check-out time - allowing us to sleep in. The only negative we had was that the housekeeping staff was rather loud in the hallway and despite us asking them to quiet down they continued talking at high volumes.

the hotel room was small but that was ok and I was willing to accept that for a lower price, you spend most of your time enjoying the city any way. location was ok too, although short on subway stations around (that could have also been the weekend) the room was not clean, and the bed had short black hair on it, so the staff replace the sheets upon request. the next sheets were clean but still (no hair)but there was still an orange stain on the cover that I guess did not come off in the laundry. the room definitely needs to be cleaner

The hotel is well located in midtown. The rooms are small but it is expected for NYC and the price. However, the hotel is misrepresented as a 3.5 star property. At best I would consider it a 2.5 star hotel. Not many 3.5 star hotels, I have experienced, ration bar soap like it is sugar during the depression.

Mom moving son to NYU. Perfect location as it's close to Union Square, Washington Square, Madison Square Park (shake shack!!!). So much is in walking distance and hotel is in the center of many great neighborhoods. If you enjoy walking, you can easily get up to Central Park and down to Little Italy. Quiet, comfy, with nice beds. Felt a little nervous about security because I was not used to traveling alone but all in all a great stay. Would definitely stay again.

My grown daughter and I had business in the NYU area--this hotel turned out to be close to perfect. The staff was very helpful, and we found it only took us 15 minutes to walk down Fifth Ave. and get to Washington Square Park and NYU buildings. The hotel is only 1/2 block from Madison Square Park.

4 librarians in NYC for BEA. Location was ok. Very loud garbage trucks during the night and the first room with no air conditioning. We were moved. We were only there to sleep, so the four of us did really, really well in a small space.

The service was FANTASTIC!!! Every single person who worked there was so friendly and nice. The rooms were clean (a little crowded but it's NYC and had two full beds!) Totally worth the stay. There is a CVS right around the corner and Empire Bagel and Pizza is a great place to eat.
