The Muse New York, a Kimpton Hotel

Hotel as convienently locted in the Times Square area.

Hotel was centrally located, room was very clean. The staff was great, 3:00PM check in, but our room was not ready however we were given vochers to have drinks in bar. It was only minutes and the room was ready. I would visit this Hotel again.

it was my husbands 31st birthday and I wanted to make it special. We decided to spend couple days in NYC. Hotel was half a block from Times Square, we had a great spanish resturant right across the street. Only Con was the CONSTRUCTION! So loud and noisy with our balcony view (which cost extra in NYC) the workers kept cursing so early in the morning -ugh!

I had to change rooms. The first room was in the "quiet" part of the hotel, but tucked away in the corner next to the kitchen vent of the restaurant next door. it smelled. They put an ionizer in the room while I was out. Then the heating system was not working (blowing madly but no heat to counteract the frigid air seeping in from the window) I woke up the next morning to a 54 degree room. They gave me a new room next night. Unfortunately, the construction going on across the street began at 4 am (I was told they wouldn't begin until 7am). Also the fan on the heating system in both rooms was loud and intrusive. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. I must say though, through it all, everyone I spoke with at the front desk (and I must have had contact at least 7 times) knew what was going on and was apologetic. I believe I should have been awarded at least a free stay the next time, but I think because I paid a discounted rate to begin with, I was treated slightly "less than".

I had to be in mid-town for two weeks on business, and that's a long time to be in a NYC hotel. The Muse was great all around. Few NYC hotels can be called "spacious", and neither can the Muse, but it did have relatively more room than most NYC accommodations. I also saw some reviews citing the staff as rude. I found them to be quite professional. True, not all of them were warm and friendly, but all were courteous, professional, and quick to provide service. I'd definitely stay there again.

Location was excellent! We could walk to most of the things we wanted to see. I had asked for a quiet room with two double beds and that's what we got..........plus a nice NY view from the windows. Beds were very comfortable. Both room and bathroom were nice sized. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will go there again when in NY.

We were just hear for 1 night. The location (right by time square) can not be beat. Ontop of that we had a room with a balcony (which is unheard of in NY) and we sat outside all night long enjoying the lights. If you want a clean, get location hotel.. pick this one. I would DEFIANTLY stay here again!!!
