The James Club Sky Lobby

The Sky Lobby, a third-floor glass-walled welcome and reception area, is accessible by a glass elevator that transports guests from the ground floor entry to a private living room and business networking lounge. Complimentary snack and drink service at designated times will be available daily in The James Club Sky Lobby.

Garden Bar and Restaurant

The Garden Bar & Restaurant, designed by Thomas Schlesser at Design Bureaux, Inc. takes its visual cues from the outdoor space which in turn has a variety of comfortable seating arrangements amid park-like landscaping; and will feature a select menu of snacks, an extensive selection of hot and iced teas, and will also be available for meetings and private events. Opening Spring 2011.

Bar at the Rooftop Pool deck

The hotel's sexiest and most covetable feature is the Rooftop Pool Deck, which includes a full bar, a private pool and spa cabanas, and is topped off by the hotel's architectural "halo", rounded out by 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline. According to designer Thomas Schlesser of Design Bureaux Inc. Rooftop Pool and Bar opening December 2010. Pool to be open seasonally and private for hotel guests until 6pm.

David Burke Kitchen

Located in the hotel, Celebrity Chef David Burkes' restaurant focuses on wholesome and hearty modern American food, locally sourced and presented in the creative and whimsical style that is Burke's trademark. Guests will enjoy several ways to experience the restaurant, including the Treehouse Bar for artisanal cocktails & homemade sweet and savory "pop tarts" from the Treehouse's "toast bar;" the loft-like main dining room featuring exposed beams and views through glass walls into the kitchen and wine cave; and outdoor space within the Urban Garden, opening this summer. The dining room boasts a bold, theatrical experience: a carving station where dishes are plated in the center of the action. David Burke Kitchen's interior is inspired by the surrounding Soho neighborhood, blending the cool, industrial simplicity of an airy loft with the rustic warmth of a country barn.

Jimmy, The James New York's rooftop lounge

Jimmy, our new rooftop lounge promises a year-round rooftop experience that embraces all seasons. Jimmy's design is a contemporary interpretation of the classic pub with a 1970's New York twist. Elements like herringbone floors, a leather trimmed solid wood bar top, brick glazed tile walls, rich blue upholstery and working fireplaces come together to create a sense of warmth. During the warm weather months, the bar atmosphere will spill out onto The James New York roof deck, boasting another fireplace, surrounded by three lounging beds and several chaise lounges, as well as the most unfettered views found anywhere in downtown Manhattan. The roof is topped off with the hotel's signature "halo", an architectural feature that draws the eye from both inside and outside the building, while framing the extraordinary views. Although located on the roof of The James, Jimmy will have a separate entrance at 15 Thompson Street.
