This once "notorious" neighborhood has changed dramatically within the last few years. wonderfully surprised!
The rooms were bigger than any hotel we previously stayed at in New York City. The room was very clean. 10th Avenue seems to be a good place to get a cab. Overall, it was a very good experience and we would stay there again!

Hotel et personnel tres sympa
Nous avons pris cet hotel pour un séjour de 5 jours...au départ nous avions un peu peur car nous avions lu des commentaires plutot négatifs sur cet hotel mais nous avons été très agréablement surpris non seulement par l'hotel mais aussi par la gentillesse du personnel ...alors bien sur ce n'est pas le Carlton mais à mon avis les commentaires très critiques proviennent de personnes tres ...voir trop exigeantes...

Great stay. Excellent staff,location and safe area. No coffee maker in room but restaurant located in Hotel opened @8 or shop across street was open 24 hrs. We will stay there again

Séjour au Skyline Hotel
J'ai passé 7 nuits à l'hôtel Skyline...et finalement heureux de l'avoir quitté. C'est un hôtel bruyant (isolation phonique déplorable, en interne comme avec l'extérieur), et d'un point de vue général, mal entretenu. D'un point de vue propreté, la situation se résume très simplement : là où l'aspirateur n'a pas accès, pas de nettoyage ! C'est à dire qu'entre les lits et les tables de nuits, entre les lits et les murs, sous la table...c'est le paradis des moutons de poussière, des poils, des cheveux, des papiers chiffonés,..etc. L'hôtel skyline est doté d'une piscine, qui n'est guère mieux entretenue que le reste de l'établissement ! même les serviettes sont dans un état pitoyables. Même l'accès internet sur les ordinateurs mis à disposition dans le hall de l'hôtel est payant. C'est vraiment très faible comme prestation hotelière. Au final, je suis très déçu par cet hôtel, très mauvais rapport Qualité / Prix ! Je précise qu'il s'agissait de mon troisième séjour à N-Y en hôtel.... Cordialement.

Excellent emplacement pour visiter Manhattan
Super emplacement. Dommage, la télé ne sert à rien, il n'y a que des chaînes payantes (carte VISA). Idem pour le Whi-Fi. Bon à savoir, la salle du petit déjeuner a le Whi-Fi libre, les serveurs donnent volontiers le code d'accès.

Séjour 2 nuits mars 2012. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est correct mais il faut quand même un peu marcher depuis le coeur de Manhattan. Chambre tranquille mais pas sur rue principale. Nous avions une suite pour 5 personnes et deux adultes ont dormi dans un canapé pliable dont le confort était limite (matelas mauvais et complètement en biais). déception car pas de liaison wi-fi gratuite dans la chambre malgré le prix élevé. Nous avons payé mais la liaison a été établie uniquement sur un I-phone et pas sur le portable! pas top à 5 p ayant besoin de communiquer. Je pourrais retourner par défaut mais je chercherai ailleurs avant.

Great location for family
We have three kids, 13, 11, 7, so we need more than a standard room to be comfortable. Considering that we got a junior sweet, the price was reasonable. The staff we just fine, the parking is a sweet deal as long as you leave your car there the whole time because they'll only validate one ticket per stay, the location was awesome--we walked to central park, times square, Rockefeller Center, museums, there are restaurants aplenty, the indoor pool was a huge bonus for the kids and very warm with a lifeguard on full duty. We had no noise issues. There are two sections of the hotel, and we were in the back section, which goes to eight floors. My biggest beef, and it was a pain, is that there is no coffee maker in the room, nor is there complimentary coffee in the lobby. I had to go find myself come coffee each morning. I ended up just getting it at the hotel restaurant, but with the prices we're paying, at least give me coffee and it would have been nice to have free wifi, which there isn't. Staff was fine, seemed well-trained, everything went very smoothly from check-in to check-out. Would I stay there again? Absolutely. No doubt at all.

New York Sal's Pizza is right across the street and has that great New York style pizza, lots of other choices, and fantastic service.

Great for the price in NYC
This is great value for the money in high priced New York...comfortable, clean good sized rooms and bathrooms. Pleasant lobby and outside smoking patio...(liked to sit there early in the morning and watch the street come to life) a short walk to subway...and great neighborhood for little ethnic eateries... hotel is walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Times Square...my daughter loved the in house gym...overall pleasant experience.

A great neighborhood for little ethnic eateries... (especially liked "Afghan Kebab House" and "Uncle Nicks Greek" both a block away on 9th Ave also found the Amish Market on 9th good for a snack or coffee on the go)
