Manhattan Centre Hotel

When we arrived to the hotel we were not greeted in a very friendly manner at all. Where they should be a front desk all they have is a podium that is staffed by only one person. Any time I had a question I couldn't ask because there was always a huge line to get to the "front desk" because they were under staffed. When I finally did get to ask my questions the staff was extremely unhelpful. They continued to direct me to pamphlets and things that were in my room instead of taking the time to really focus on my request and help me. No one was willing to go the extra mile. They claim to have a concierge, but that is not true. A staff member even told me they don't have one. Then why do they advertise that they do? At one point I asked one person if I could have a map of the city. The person said that the man at the "front desk" could help me. I informed him that he wasn't there right now. He then went on to tell me that he would be right back. I then asked if he could please just get me the map so I didn't have to wait for the other person. There was no reason for him to ask me to wait in the first place since he wasn't even doing anything. He was just standing at the door. Also at one point we needed a plunger so we tried to call the front desk, we tried to call maintenance , we tried to call room service. NO ONE ANSWERED! So we had to get up and go all the way down to the lobby to see if someone could help us. The nicest and most helpful person there was the maid. Other than the terrible service, the room was comfortable and the hotel was in a good location. All though the smoke detector had been ripped out of our wall, and there was some kind of red stain on our blanket. We will never stay here again.

The physical location of the hotel was good but I stayed on the second floor and the street noise was unbearable. People were yelling from midnight to 2:00 am due to the hotel's proximity to a bar. Impossible to sleep!

From the moment we entered this hotel it was awesome.. The room was spotless, quiet, perfect for both my daughter and I - we just kept saying we loved our room! The only drawback - and it's not the hotel's issue, but the age of the building - the elevators are very slow....

Most everything at Club Quarters runs like clockwork. The staff is responsive and friendly. The little added touches, like unlimited free purified bottled water, are appreciated. My complaints are that the bed mattress wasn't the most comfortable and only two pillows were supplied, necessitating a call to room service. Additionally, only two small bath towels were in our room and only one hand towel. Another call to room service. A good hotel shouldn't require the guest to call room service to get adequate supplies.

We had a very comfortable 5th floor room.. Nights were quiet. The 7th floor lounge area was light and pleasant. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and NY Times there and a good breakfast one morning. Halls are narrow. Faster collection of room service trays is needed. The staff got on it right away, though, when we mentioned some trays sitting out all day.

The Club Quarter is an ideal location for shopping and a visit to Time Square. Rooms are clean and comfortable with WiFi and complimentary water!

Would stay again if the price were Very Good.

The location is great. However, the rooms are small and dark, not exceptionally clean (had powder on the floors that the vaccum didn't clean), the room smelled like grilled steaks 24-7. The ventilation from the restaurant next door was horrid. Would not book this hotel again. I travel to NYC quite frequently and usually stay at another hotel around the corner but it was booked so I gave this one a try. Not my type of place.

Great staff, great room and location is amazing.

Stay away from the gym floor. A little tight but nice. Great location in midtown
