Affinia Dumont

l' hotel ne corespond plus aux photos inernet du site la decoration est depassee , le tout un peu vieillot , le personnel indiffrent aux problemes de langue du client et surtout pas souriant ,seul la localisation de l' hotel est bonne dommage

I had a great break in NY made better by staying at the Affinia Dumont. I stayed in a Junior Suite which was spacious and tidy with a great view looking out at The Chrysler Building. The King size bed had a really soft mattress that made getting off to sleep easy. The staff were all polite and helpful. The location was perfect, you are a stones throw from bars, restaurants, take outs, a mini market, a pharmacy, 2nd Ave Deli and 33rd Street Subway Station (not to mention the Empire State Building is just two blocks away). I only have two criticisms, you have to pay for the wi-fi and the mini bar is very expensive (fortunately there is a mini market next door). I am planning on going back to NY next year and would definately stay at the Affinia Dumont again.

Where you stay in New York depends in part on what part of town your work takes you. If you need to be in Murray Hill and having a comfortable place to work is important, it's hard to do better than the Affinia Dumont. Even the standard rooms are well sized, and the work space is generous, with an Aeron chair to boot. Throw in the kitchenette and the comfortable bed, and you're set for a great place to stay if you're in the city for work. It's neither the cheapest nor the priciest place, but you do pay for the quality. Many will find it worth the expense.

Large, comfortable, very pleasant room with kitchen facilities - recently renovated

The manager was accommodating and professional in handling a specific issue that was caused by another guest. The room was great ... clean and well-appointed. The staff was helpful and always respectful/courteous. This was an enjoyable experience in New York. Thank you for making it happen.

Sauberes Hotel, Zimmer mit extra Kochzeile, die, so wie es aussieht, nur selten von den Gästen genutzt wird. Die Kochzeile ist dann aber auch schon das einzige was negativ auffällt. Das Hotel liegt zentral, die nächste U-Bahn-Station ist nur 1,5 Blocks entfernt. Das kleine Bistro "Barkin' Dog" direkt neben dem Hotel bietet super Frühstück zum angenehmen Preis.

The whole experience was very good, the location of the Hotel was perfect, the staff more than helpful, and the size of the room exceded our expectations

Staff very friendly and helpful. Large room with fabulous views, comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. Quiet room without noise from corridor or lobby. I would recommend this hotel for value, quality, location and friendliness of staff.

Fantastic facilities and location but very disappointed to return home and find our credit card had an unauthorised charge made by the hotel (less than $8 but thats not the point!). Have emailed hotel for explanation but had no reply.

The room is a mini suite( with FULL kitchen) with a king size bed. QUIET! great room darkening shades. Choice of pillow--just call housekeeping. Great location --2 blocks to #7 subway--direct shot to Grand central. For drivers-- this is just 4 blocks from the East side drive. Saw the sun rise over the East River, watched the Chrysler Building in lights! Comfy bed. FAST and plentiful hot H20. We also had desk and double pull out sofa. Could serve a family or party of 3-4 well. Smallish, but what a deal! General Manager is welcoming and professional-making sure your stay is great.
