Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites FINDLEY LAKE (I-86 EXIT 4)

It was a good hotel, clean and also served hot breakfast. It just lacked a refrigerator. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This one day stay cost me nearly $500.00. Never again will we stay at a Holiday Inn. I will give the night desk clerk two thumbs up but from there it went right down the drain. After we checked in our family went to find a place to eat so far so good. When we returned to the room at around 7:30-8pm we found it to be a very noisy room. Each time the guests next door left, or closed a door our "suite" rocked. I could hear their conversations clearly among other things....thin walls to say the least. Ok, this is the least of the problems. The air conditioner would not stay on and since there was no way to open a window the room was hot, very hot. Now for the beds, The king was SOFT!!!! Not a good soft either. I felt as though any movement made I would fall off the bed, it was like a bad air mattris. The pull out on the other hand had a very thin mattris, my son said he could feel the frame. Oh did I mention that we has the Holiday Inn Express sign right in our window and even though blue is a nice color its not when it's a bright blue light shining right through the curtins. To say the least we waited to the next morning to speak to the person in charge. My husband had gone down to the great room for coffee and over heard Carrie the day desk clerk dealing with an issue with another guest. I didn't understand why he just wanted to leave. When I brought the issues up she just said that we should have called for repairs...we didn't think at 11pm we would get anything done. When I said we would like to check out because of the issues not once did she offer to change the room, nothing. And yes Carrie our son had a low grade fever and on meds but the general issues of the room was the reason for our wanting to leave, NOT HIS FEVER he wanted to stay he was looking forward to this trip. ( I'm a Customer Service Manager for a regional food chain -34 yrs.-and have 16 yr old cashiers that treate my customers better than this person did.) We travel and have NEVER had such poor service. We drove home and lost the $500.00. Here is a side note, this is the second Holiday Inn we have stayed in and come to think of it that stay wasn't that good either....I guess we'll never stay with them again although I'm quite sure with this experience Holiday Inn really doesn't care how people are handled.......

We stayed while attending a family wedding because the location is super convenient and were pleased to find a very comfortable room, helpful staff and great breakfast!

The hotel was very clean & well kept. Check in was exceptionally fast - about 3 minutes! We arrived early and took advantage of having the pool to ourselves. It is small and not deep, but big enough for a little exercise & relaxation. There was a tub of water toys available and it was warm in the pool area. There were some tables outdoors that could be accessed from the pool, even a small kids' plastic picnic table. The shower was great and I appreciated the supplies in the bathroom (make-up remover, shampoo, swabs). No fridge in the room and we got the last bit of ice in the morning. There were lots of holiday travelers staying over, but it was pretty quiet when came back late. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We were pleased with the breakfast buffet which offered lots of choices.

the front desk clerk was great, (there was one staff member that was serving the breakfast, she didn't smile if her life depended on it,) but the other ones were nice, the maid was very friendly & did a great job cleaning our room

Decent hotel for the price I paid for my trip during the long-weekend week. Nice staff, great service. The only problem was the location, my GPS was showing me the wrong address at no where. GPS users search for Holiday inn instead of entering the address.

The hotel is located right off the Highway and 5 minutes from Peak n Peek resort. The staff was excellent! Very friendly and great service. Will definitely go back!

The hotel was comfortable, it was quiet and within easy driving distance to downtown the Chautaugwa Institution. A good value.

We were visiting Lake Chautauqua and wanted an affordable room that was family friendly. The Holiday Inn Express - Lake Findley fit the bill, however minor issues existed that keep me from giving a higher satifsfaction score. The elevator was broken, so we always had to take the stairs (somewhat a challenge when traveling with young kids... lots of bags and bed rails needed to be carted up and down). The room was large and the bathroom was nice, but the beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were much too thick. There was only one restuarant in the area that happened to be in the hotel parking lot. It was a true greasy spoon with food that was just o.k. The pool was decent, but had weird hours. The fitness center was a bit of a joke, but for this trip, it wasn't used anyway. The hotel did offer a free continental breakfast that was well stocked with cerals, milks, oatmeals, juices, breads, bagels, and some fruit. Overall, the minor issues weren't that big of a deal and we would probably stay again based on the price, but I would say that the experience was just o.k.
