the check in took 1/2 hour, room was very dirty, halls needed to be vacuumed, no more fresh twoles, did not eat breakfast due to uncleanliness, old tv, bad wifi

Always a great stay and great staff! Was greeted and even had my room changed because the staff was so friendly!

my wife and i were horrified to see the hotel let alone the hotel room that was unmade. Dirty clothes in the hallway and the halls smelled like mildew and recent drug use. The owners should be ashamed of the condition of the hotel.

The whole experience was gross. I have nothing more to say GROSS!

I usually never report hotel experiences, but based on this trip, I need to educate people on a few facts. 1.) parking is a joke, one way parking lot, not maintained. 2.) "heated pool" no, not even close. It would a good temp to cool your beers.3.) The building was freezing, it's laid out like a maze, confusing to navigate. There was no heat in our room, upon checking in, we froze the first 2 hours. I was told there was a few shootings right outside the hotel, bad location to stay, especially with children! Be caution, understand why it's one of the cheapest in Binghamton.

Had very bad experience, despite fact that location was near Binghamton Mets ballpark and bed was comfortable and air conditioner and shower worked fine. Essentially, the staff seemed to not care about the customers. Housekeepers ignored the empty Kleenex dispenser and missing light bulb from lamp. They also ignored the fact that the alarm clock/radio had the key switch literally ripped off the unit. You couldn't turn on alarm or radio. I phoned for a wake up call, spoke with desk clerk, gave her the correct room number. But they never called. I have left over 100 wake up calls over the years, never got one more than 15 minutes late. Mistakes happen. But when I politely spoke with the manager at the desk, she offered no explanation whatsoever and absolutely refused to give me as much as a nickel off on my room cost, despite admitting that her staff fouled up. Two letters to Days Inn management got me a refund of less than $3. Had she offered me a sincere apology and $5 back I would have been happy--I wasn't asking for a bundle. But her attitude that morning was far less than satisfactory. Binghamton was nice, but I recommend travelers stay somewhere where the rooms are properly maintained and the staff actually cares about you.

First off i was content with the convenience of everything around the hotel. But as soon as we walked in we was shocked. The carpet was filthy, there was ashes and dust everywhere, the nightstand was STICKY! and disgusting, there was a dirty wash cloth sitting behind the door, and there was no iron. When we got an iron they gave us a darn broken one Then had the nerve to tell use to ask someone next door to us for one because they didn't have anymore. We asked them to come clean the room before we stepped out. However, all they did was move the towel and wipe ONE nightstand. Everything else was still the same. And my girlfriend is missing her small bag of costume jewelry after they came to "clean: the things we asked for. The icing on the cake was the fact my girlfriend got bitten by a spider multiple times. Maybe if they kept there room clean and up to par..There wouldn't be any bugs living in them. This is a last resort place. A Place only for a weekend.

I stopped here on my way to and from Niagara Falls. After reading some of the reviews on here I was a bit worried about what to expect. The location isn't that bad but there's no good views either. The staff was friendly but the motel itself just seemed dark and dismal. The hallway leading to my room had a strange aroma of pancake syrup. The room itself was clean but had a strange odor that I couldn't quite identify. It was a bit noisy (slamming doors) all night. I did not take advantage of the continental breakfast. Would I stay here again? Maybe. It was cheap.

My daughter and I were on a road trip visiting colleges so we were not looking for top of the line places to stay, but we certainly expected a clean environment. That's not what we found at this location. The area it's located in isn't terrible, but I wouldn't go for a walk after dark. Our first impression was regarding the parking lot. The parking is along side the hotel with a lot in the back. It's not very well kept, and people appearing to be a bit down and out seemed to always be outside smoking. We went in to check in and remained waiting for at least 15 minutes before we were greeted. Seems there were a couple of other guests that needed to change rooms for one reason or another. While standing and waiting , I noticed how miserable the housekeeping staff was. (Not a good sign.) The lobby was dark and grubby. We checked in and the girl behind the desk promptly announced our room number out loud. (not acceptable).. We went to the 3-4 person elevator (which was rather rickety and also filthy) and waited. In the meantime we noticed the garbage piled outside the elevator and the dried liquid which had been spilled on the floor at some point. We got to our floor (which was dark) and went into our room. There were stains on the rug, and as though I already knew what I'd find, I pulled back the sheets to find long hairs and stains on the sheets. (they smelled of suntan lotion). While we were there, we noticed lights didn't work and the bathroom, which was seemingly to be clean at first, had splatters of some material on the walls. We promptly took our suitcase and returned to the desk. I told the girl behind the desk what I had found. Her response was, "oh, gross, I hate when that happens..sorry". I asked for a clean room. We were assigned to a different floor. This floor also had an elevator area covered with spilled/dried liquid and garbage outside the elevator. We went to our room and went directly to the bed. The sheets were clean. However there were stains on the rug, numerous outlets didn't work, and the ceiling fixture in the bathroom was missing it's cover which opened up into a large dark space. It felt creepy. Again, the bathroom at first glance was clean, but upon closer inspection, the entire perimeter of the room in which we were staying had a layer of filth. But all this was nothing compared to what we found when we went to breakfast the next morning. Breakfast is from 6-9am. We arrived at 8. The room was again, filthy. There was food and liquid spilled all over the counters. The waffle maker my daughter was excited to try was caked with debris and there was a sign on the wall stating "broken, do not use." There was a dome covered plate of bagels and english muffins. Instead of individual patties of butter or cream cheese, there was a large, overly softened brick of each, which had been mangled by previous diners and covered with crumbs and other debris. The milk and juice containers were dirty, and the tables were covered with grime. Eventually, 2 members of the housekeeping staff entered the room and started arguing over who was going to make more coffee. Foul language ensued. My daughter and I just looked at each other in total disbelief about what we were hearing. At this price range of hotel, I ask for one thing. A clean room. I did not get anything remotely acceptable at this hotel. Shame on you Days Inn Corp!
