Westgate Flamingo Bay

I accepted before I arrived that this hotel was off the strip. What was not well advertised was the fact that the hotel shuttle only goes to two places, does not allow luggage, does not go to the airport, and is driven by surly, unfriendly drivers. Furthermore, the hotel itself is a major disappointment. The air conditioning is run on a motion sensor that doesn't detect motion; there is no restaurant, nor are there any within easy walking distance; the hot-tub motors are exceedingly loud; ceiling fans did not work; no premium movie channels; broken gate locks. I expected much better for the price. I will not stay with Westgate again.

A cool and clean room, with a full kitchen, hot tub, fireplace...but...no internet included!!! Internet fee is so last century stuff!!! I prefer to use my cell phone internet instead to pay 10 bucks for it!!! A little bit far from Vegas Strip, but a fine place to rest. A detail: I asked for information to the receptionist, to the councierge, to the manager...and them ALL give me NO verbal information about the fireworks at Vegas new years eve...they just printed a paper and gave me to read...so discourteous. Average rate.

This Hotel, was a very dated time share. that was not only terribly unpleasant enviroment. After travel and working all day, I was hit with a time share sales person. The worst part was that the bed had visitor, these vistors sent me to the Emerency Room upon my return. This was a horrible expierence on all ends.

When combining business with pleasure, this was a great option. Other than a pushy salesman trying to sell me a time share, this was a great place for relaxing, getting business done and experiencing a little of the strip. Prefer to not eat out alone, so was able to grocery shop nearby and prepare my own meals in the kitchen of the suite. Internet access was extra, but came in handy for downloading movies (as there was no cable). The premises is lovely with walkways, streams, exotic plants and even a little putting green! Built-in propane grills are scattered around and guests made full use of these! Though check-out was at 10am, the staff encouraged us to stay and use the outdoor facilities to keep cool! Would recommend this heartily to families as well as business travelers.

Positives: Nice room, with separate bedroom and living room with sofabed. Very clean. Includes refrigerator, stove, dishwasher. Quiet complex. Close to very good restaurants (Archi's Thai, Viva Mercado, etc) and fast food. Negatives: Actually a timeshare so "full service cleaning," which is changing the sheets/linens, making the bed (typical hotel cleaning) is only done at a surcharge of $35. No real room service, but there is a convenient delivery menu in the room.

Excellent, no com[plaints, except than you don't get your own personal cook.....

This place was so much nicer than I expected. The "room" was more like a little apartment with a living room that had a fireplace, a dining area and huge kitchen. Also a washer and dryer! There was a jacuzzi tub that could have fit 4 people in the room and everything was clean and nice. Bed was HUGE - plenty of pillows and blankets. There were 2 TVs and a stereo. I was only there one night, or I would have taken advantage of more of the room's amenities. The hotel entrance was gated, as well as a gate at the area of the room. Grounds were beautiful. It was also just up the street from the strip. Very convenient and a great rate.

We enjoyed our stay! Wanted to stay in a facility that I knew would not be disappointing. I have stayed in the Westgate chain in FL and it proved to be the best choice. We are not gramblers so I think the hotel is the only place in Vegas without slots. They provided call backs to ensure you received timely service. A great family location to recommend.
