The Quad Resort & Casino Located next to Flamingo

My overall stay (overnight) was pleasant, but...let's just say it's a good thing I'm prior military. I'm used to "roughing it!"

Lots of construction. Rude staff. 1 hour to check in - literally 1 hour. Never have had a worse check in experience in my life checking in anywhere, and i travel A LOT!! Don't bother. It used to be great - now? never again...

The location is perfect, pay a lil extra their beds in the upgraded rooms are much nicer. The pool is a cool young vibe.

Even though the hotel is under construction I still was able to enjoy myself and relax. Also the price of the room for three days was a steal. I really enjoyed my stay at the quad.

The place was under construction and we we not told that it would be. NO effort was made to make check-in easier (understaffed), carpets in check in area were torn, foot traffic very heavy. The room was big but had few furnishings. Only had one dresser which the tv sat on and a table with 2 chairs. There was a huge space that even a Motel 6 would use for a comfortable chair and ottoman. When I asked staff about they replied "we sell out every day so we aren't going to add anything." When I took shower in morning I discovered there was NO shampoo in bathroom. We comlained, shampoo was brought up but housekeeping skipped us that day. (didn't discover this until we bot to room around 1am. Casino itself was OK but nothing special. I've been to Vegas 7 times and this is by far the worst hotel I've encountered. DO NOT STAY HERE, I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY HERE!

I knew this was a old hotel on the strip and I know why I don't go there. Yes, it was bought out from the original owner and yes they are trying upgrade and renovate; however, it will take a long time to do this. First of all, as I checked in and I was told that I they were out of non-smoking rooms; which I had request. Next, I didn't know that there was mandatory fee to use use WiFi; whether you had a cell phone or laptop with your own internet card. So, I had to pay an additional $22.44 or I could not get the room. This was no notice about that, when I booked the room; however, for the price, people on a budget and looking for a place to lay their heads will take what they can get when they have no choice. I did, but, I thought the place would be decent enough to stay at because it was on the famous Las Vegas Strip. Man, I was wrong. It was like a maze in that place. People were lost all the time there, of course, if you stayed there for a day you get lost enough to find your way around. Furthermore, if you have lot of time on your hands, this the place to stay. If you have meetings and appointments to make, don't stay there or be prepared to get up extra early to get to your meeting. You can also get lost finding your car because the parking is like a maze, too. I had to take one elevator up and walk and take another elevator down to get to the room. Now, it took about 30 minutes to find the room and I could not get in because the key didn't work, so, I went back to the room, twice, two different room keys that didn't work. I went back again and I explained my situation and the another lady offered to give me a non-smoking room with a king bed. I said, yes, because that is what I wanted in the first place. I thought they had none. So, I got the key and finally got in the room. So, it took about 2 hours to get in the room. Next, I didn't know that this hotel allowed pets, so, the old smell and smell of pets was all over the room and outside the room. I am allergic to cats, so, I bet there were some around, so, you guess it, I was sneezing and coughing during my sleep. Now, the room looked decent, but, they really need to re-model the rooms; however, I don't think I will stay there anymore because of the old smell and the pets. I didn't even eat there. Besides me incident at the front desk, the majority of the employees are very helpful and that is why my stay was tolerable, but, after my stay there I won't come back or step in that place again. I usually don't write reviews, but, I wrote this one to warn others. You are better off finding a Motel 6.

I stayed in a suite which had no safe and no minifridge in the room which was pretty bad but to wake up monday morning to jack hammers and construction at 7 am was even worst. The hotel is at a great location in the middle of the strip but it was all around bland and uninteresting. I spent most of my time next door at Harrahs.

The hotel is still being remodeled (May 2013) it was under construction last time I was there in Dec. 2012 and they say it still has another years or so. This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. I actually got a room next door at the Flamingo for one night but couldn't get it for another plus I already paid for the Quad. The room was dirty, cob webs all over, the tub/shower backed up. No one ever answers when you call the front desk. They don't clean room well at all. Pool was ok, but closed at 5pm way too early. And I think I was bitten by bed bugs will find out at drs tomorrow. I believe motel 6 would be better. Wont ever go back to The Quad (formerly The Imperial)

Paid extra to have a room with a large tub, but the tub was so filthy that I didn't use it once. There was a ring of soap scum that indicated it had not been washed after the previous guests used it, the shower curtain was nasty, and we jokingly called all the mold "decorative black grouting." The carpet was old and filthy, the TV didn't work consistently, and it was hard to get the staff to answer the telephone. Elevators were really slow, the food was overpriced. Very disappointing!

Fun place. Lack of signs/directions maybe due to construction. Conveniently located.
