under construction-but a good thing

The hotel was under construction but to me this was not an issue as I would rather see a hotel in the process of renovations rather than becoming dilapitated. Very convenient to the airport. Didn't really have a chance to check out the amenities but would have liked to been able to make use of the pool and sauna-maybe next time! :)

This older Ramada is currently undergoing a renovation of the wing where we stayed. We had to walk past a construction site to get to our room. Light fixtures in the hall were bare bulbs hanging from dangling wires where wall sconces once were located. Plastic covered some wall openings. Plaster dust was on the hallway carpet. I was concerned for my allergies as well as for safety. The room was worn out and unattractive with chipping plastic laminate furniture. Cleanliness was fine. The light between the beds was unplugged, and we had to move furniture to plug it in. The bathroom fan was not functional. The reception staff was very helpful (in giving us directions), cheerful and professional.

It was confusing at check-in; we had to check in across the street at another hotel. Overall the hotel had a charming "old western" feel to it. However, the cleaning staff must still use methods from 1800. Improve on the cleaning and the customer service, and you'll have a repeat customer.
