Great Value. Better than expected
We brought our 6 yr old with us, we stayed in Carson City, half way between Reno and Tahoe. We had a wonderful time the room was even better than the pictures. The price was great, we stayed during new years and it can be very expensive. The only thing to complain about was the restaurant the food was awful and no childrens menu. The hotel does have a small casino and a bowling alley which was great for kids, with small arcade and snack bar.

Nice place, good price.
Stayed only one night. Had fun playing in the casino. Food in the restaurant was good & fast. No complaints.

Was very busy that day because of car show and air show. Service was still satisfactory and friendly.

Gold Dust West Carson City
This hotel was fine in that it was very clean and the casino is fun in a goofy sort of a way--but we chose this hotel specifically because we wanted a pool. When we checked in Friday night at 10 pm, we learned that the pool was already closed for the night, then, we learned there was a wedding the next day at the pool, so it wold be closed to the public the entire day. As we were checking out Sunday this pretty much killed the entire experience for us. I inquired about a discount to make up for said pool issue when we checked out, and was told a very rude, very abrupt 'NO'. Not, 'We cant do that, but we're sorry for the inconvenience', not 'We cant do that, but we can offer (fill in the blank) coupon', just a very rude, very obnoxious 'NO'. We visit friends in Carson City at least once a year and I can assure you we will not be staying at the Gold Dust West ever again.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
Very nice. Staff were awesome and friendly in the Hotel,Casino and Restaruant. Enjoyed our stay. Was looking for a new place to replace where we usually stayed. We found it.

Weekend getaway
This is a decent place to stay. Our dining experience at The Grille wasn't great. Liked the place much better when it was Pinon Plaza but I will stay here again. You can't beat the price for a suite.

Great place to stay for the price
Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The facility has a grill which served a very good meal.
