hotel is a "maze" to get around !!
ever winding hall ways with absolutley not 1 elevator in this hotel..only stairs and have to use fire exits to get to the rooms...the water in the tub resembled "river water" not the rust color from not being used but actual river water..nasty brown..

Waterford in South Bend
Very comfortable room, but not too big. It was easy to find, but not really in a location to get things if you didn't want to remina in the hotel itself. The staff in the restaurant was not to friendly, but they were efficient. Staff at the front desk was also very efficient, but did not seem to welcome you. They were all business and not into socializing. I think one person actually smiled at us. Everyone else seemed to wonder why we were there.

Great place rooms need a bit of work.
The staff was really nice. The indoor and outdoor pools were great. The rooms were damp and the air conditioner did not work easily, it had this crazy remote with lots of buttons but no explanation as to how to work it. And the vent was dirty. I think when you have so many options with pools and kids are going to come back into the rooms wet, dehumindifiers should be in each room.

Short stay in South Bend
Blistering hot weekend, so nice outdoor pool was a blessing. Rooms comfortable and clean. Great BOSE radio. Excellent complementary buffet breakfast really made it a value, and the price for the hotel was a real bargain. Not a wonderful location in South Bend, but close to Notre Dame.
