Great Hotel, close to Convention Center
This is a beautiful old hotel and the rooms are just as beautiful and very comfortable. The fact that you have inside access to the mall that goes right to the skywalk to the convention center is what sold me on it in the first place. Thankfully, since it rained the first two days I was there, I never even had to walk outside so it was terrific. The staff here is very attentive and friendly and I was very impressed with how quickly they responded to any of my requests. The only thing I would have liked that was not available, was a coffee pot in the room. They have coffee in the lobby and a continental breakfast each morning, but there are no coffee pots in the rooms.

Short walk from hotel
This hotel is right in the heart of the restaurant district. There are numerous places within a two minute walk. The restaurant across the street is open 24/7 so there's always something great to eat and reasonably priced available.

Avoid the corporate chain hotels for a nice experience
All is subjective, of course; but if you're looking for a nice room with a nice atmosphere, this is a perfect fit. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. The decor is antique, but not moldy or distasteful. The rooms are clean, quite, and comfortable - I would have liked a coffee pot; though. Nice restaurant with a quaint bar! Great location - easy to walk anywhere downtown Indy.

Good nothing special
It was a good stay very clean neat and comfortable. Was right downtown and a good deal for its location but you could tell it was old and it was hard to keep the temperature comfortable.

Very pleasant experience!! My only complaint is the additional parking fee to park your car when you are paying to stay there already!

The room was a lot smaller than appears on their website. Also, the bathrooms are sub par for the price of the room. For that price, I will stay at a newer hotel next time.

Great Location, Great Atmosphere
Really enjoyed my stay at the Canterburry. Within walking distance to everything in downtown and connected to the Mall for ideal location. Everything felt very luxurious even if the room was on the smaller side. Would definitely recommend and I will be staying there again, I'm sure.

I think this hotel has a great location which is why I picked it, but for the price I think the hotel is outdated, a little dirty and needs some work to match the other quality hotels in Indianapolis.
