Kauai Beach Resort

The concierge was wonderful! I booked several tours/trips through the concierge and each one was quite good. The resort has done a decent job of trying to "go green". My only complaint is the cost of dining at Shutters - the on-site restaurant - it was very expensive.

Wonderful place for the price. Great pool, good food, comfortable room. The beach is not good for swimming but is pretty none the less.

The hotel is fine. I do believe because it is a reduced price going through [...]and others that you are one the bottom of the list for quality rooms of the category you request. Meaning that our pool view was in the very corner of a lower floor. Most hotels will have complimentary coffee out at least for a few hours of the morning. Here it was one hour and it was gone at the end of that hour. Food was good and costly. We did self parking rather than valet at 16 a day to find out that self was 13. I did not like that and the next time I will negotiate that before I leave. They did take it off the bill though. The one area I was not pleased was the hot tubs, they have two. One of them was broken for the most of our trip (heater failure). There were some issues where I had to get maintenance on the other one at one point. The luau at the sheraton that was suggested by our hotel's guest services was not near worth the 240 that it cost me.

I loved this hotel! I loved everything about this hotel! The people, accomodations, pools, food - EVERYTHING. I had checked into the Haneli Resort Hotel and walked out without even staying and i lost my money so i was thrilled when i arrived at this hotel to find it just perfect in every way possible. thank you for turning my trip around.

great hotel,would stay again. Staff very friendly an helpful. Lovely grounds and well kept. Had pool view on the 5th floor in Bldg. #2, great rm.

The pools here are awesome. The restaurants were good and prices fair for the island. The room was super clean, and all staff were friendly. Location is a bit isolated, but this is welcome after crowded beaches and tours. We went to the spa and had a nice massage. Also the concierge was very helpful. Will stay here again.

We stayed here for 7 nights in mid-December and enjoyed it. Top-notch staff. Our room was fine with a distant view of the ocean. There was no noise from the hallway or next door rooms. The TV was an older style but worked fine. Dining was pricey (altho in range with mid-higher end restaurants elsewhere on the island) but the 2 times we actually ate at the resort the quality was very good. We enjoyed Happy Hour by the pool several times. The pools and surrounding lawn/garden areas are beautiful and well maintained. The resort has a few hours every day with free entertainment either in the lounge or by the pool which we really liked to take advantage of. The laundry area was very nice and saved us from having to pay extra at the airport for checking bags. Fitness area was very good, not huge, but it had several machines plus free weights. We recommend self-parking, it is slightly cheaper and super easy. We loved how this resort sat a distance off the busy highway and has a gorgeous driveway with trees. We HIGHLY recommend this resort and hope to visit here again ourselves!

Resort had everything we expected. The pool is very nice and the beach it is on is very secluded and quiet. Very nice set-up, would recommend to anyone.

What a BEAUTIFUL hotel and resort. We had an AMAZING time. The grounds of the resort are nothing less than perfect and ideal for the tropical Hawaiian setting. The entire grounds were very well maintained and the staff was wonderful. Big complements to [...] at the Shutters Lounge. The BEST bar tender in Hawaii. His Mai Tai's were delicous and his service was friendly, you felt you were at a friends house when you were in his bar. The food was delicous and big portions, we especially loved the buffet breakfast.Also, the massage at the spa was just what I needed and the service for my hair appointment was perfect.Nothing could have made this trip better. We will definetly go back to this resort and recommened to ANYONE!

The Kauai Beach Resort was a great place to stay over the Thanksgiving weeekend. We had great dinners, with live music and used the hot tub every night, great massage, comfortable recently renovated room, fun yoga class, great gift shop and convienient location.
