Sheraton Waikiki

arrived early in am. the hotel knows this as it happens every day. would not let us in room unless we paid an extra $100.00. nice little money maker for them. elevators stopped working, a lot of upset people. have stayed in honolulu before and liked it much more.

Excellent location,however we were not informed that there is construction from 9am-5pm noisy that is ,moreover there is one swimming pool used by not only one hotel but two hotels ,so it was like who gets the chair first,too crowded.Another thing there is a path for public use throu the hotel ,so there is no privacy. Another to know no water games for the kids,and the sand beach is so small and crouded.

Relaxing, clean, fun, romantic and comfortable. However, the in house restaurant prices were ridiculously over-priced!

I have stayed at this hotel three times now. No reason to go anywhere else. I recommend drinks on the 30th floor at dusk. Food is a little pricey but many good alternatives within walking distance.

This hotel is the perfect location for what we had planned, which was to do nothing. For a relaxing few days of sleeping late in a luxurious king bed, wandering down to the great pool and beach during the days, and shopping and eating at night around town the location and hotel are unbeatable. Excellent, friendly staff provided everything we needed. There might be better places to stay if you plan to go all over the Island, but for relaxing in Waikiki this is your best bet.

We had an awesome time there. It was the perfect location to finish off our trip to the islands. Located in the center of Waikiki, and right on the beach. Spectacular views of the beach, and Diamond Head. A quick walk to everything, day or night. Did not need a car at all. Will definately stay there again, and would recommend to anyone going there.

This was our second stay at the Sheraton Waikiki. This time, we sprang for an oceanfront room and it was worth it - no street noise, only waves breaking. The new pool with waterslide and jacuzzi tub was a nice upgrade from last year. Lobby renovation was in progress and we were told it will have a nice view of Diamondhead when finished... This is a great location in Waikiki and lots of other travelers know this (always lots of activity). The staff is very friendly.

Our stay at the Sheraton Waikiki will probably be our last stay at any Sheraton. Our room was horrendous. The tub was dirty, the enamel paint was peeling off with mold in the shower and on the tiles. There was hair in the tub, on the floor and in between the sheets. We looked at two other rooms and they where no better. Hotel management tried to accommodate us but there where no better rooms available.(They where currently in the progress of upgrading their landscaping around the main pool and the noise started at 7am instead of 10am as we were told.)

The Sheraton Waikiki was very comfortable. We had a private ocean front balcony. Looking onto the ocean was very relaxing. All the staff were very friendly. Gourmet restaurant on the top floor with great views and nice piano music. They had local entertainment nightly by the pool. It's in the middle of Waikiki, so close to lots of shopping, the beach, the aquarium, and the zoo.

Sheraton Waikiki was wonderful! We had a balcony roomm overlooking the ocean & the pool & it was breathtaking--This was a beautiful hotel- At first I was a bit miffed, but it's going to happen to someone. Once you realize that you are in Hawaii, it's beautiful, it's relaxing, then it just doesn't matter. Everything, however, is expensive. We spent a lot of time at the downtown places eating & drinking. Just get a book with a map & look for coupons. Drinks, food, everything on the beach is MAJOR expensive. Don't be afarid to walk around-- it's wonderful!!
