Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel

Location is Great , next to Zoo , alows you to park at either zoo $1 per hour, or At metered spots $.50 per hour (free at night, till 10am), So if you are willing to walk a block, which is easy with Hawaii weather, you can keep parking costs low (hotel parking is $27 per day, Valet only) I did the car shuffle and managed to spend about $19 over my entire 5 day stay. Hotel was nice, retaurant the TIKI hut is great but $$$ . Try Teddy's burgers around the corner for a great burger or Rainbow drive in about 2.5 miles up Kapahulu for more local food. If you are on a budget food wise, there is a SUBWAY , If your a clean freak the tile in bathroom was a little dirty but to me it looked more like stains in grout overall room was fairly clean . Hotel like ALL hotels on Waikiki is an older hotel that has been remodeled my guess is about 4 or 5 years ago so its still fairly fresh. Make sure to buy water shoes before going in Ocean the coral reefs that make the water clear can cut your feet($12-$15 at ABC store#, #a cut foot can ruin your vacation )

The staff was very friendly the whole time we were there. I think if they want to call themselves a "four star hotel", i think they should at least have wireless internet IN THE ROOMS. Even when i went downstairs to use the WIFI, it was marginal at best. sometimes it would connect, but most the time, would not pull up web pages. SO FRUSTRATING!! I loved the poolside breakfast. That was so fun. Also, i was surprised there wasn't a microwave in the room so we had no way to re-heat our leftovers. I'm still trying to figure out what we were paying for with their "amenity fee" . It cost $10/day plus .43 tax. Doesn't seem like a lot, but it adds up when you stay for 10 days like we did. Shouldn't that be included in the cost when you book the hotel?

very good location. good breakfast service, pack tour bag and have breakfast at the beach. close to everything you need.

The location of this hotel just across the street from the east end of beautiful Waikiki beach is the best, and with a small upgrade to a beach front room makes it even better. Waking up to the surf every morning was wonderful, and the sun setting just off our balcony (lanai) was the tops! The Tiki Lounge was great for a relaxing afternoon, as well as pleasant dinners under the tiki torches, and the live music added to the atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is a great light start to the day. Most all of the tour buses picked up right in front of the hotel, so there was no walking to another location for any tour bus pick up. There are tours for everyone, and we enjoyed a variety of reasonably priced tours and left feeling like everything was money well spent. We will definitely recommend the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel to any of our friends who are traveling to Oahu and will definitely come back when we return. We enjoyed a beautiful double rainbow on our last morning..... see the attached pics!

They charge for EVERYTHING. Parking cost is outrageous, then expected to tip every time you leave or come back. One front desk female was very rude on a few occasions. Valet staff and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is very good. Would not stay there again. Not a bad place, just very disappointed.

Long check in but go though it. New way to access the elevator only people who stay at the hotel can access it which is great very close to the beach.

We loved the location !! It was well suited for the young and not so young !! The room could have been bigger, but we did not spend too much time in it anyway !! Would highly recommend for a family !!

The hotel provided complimentary breakfast which was very good for our family of six. The hotel is located just across the Waikiki beach, so it was so convenient to the access to the beach One thing we did not like was we had a problem with the elevators one day. We had to go up and down 19th floor! The elevators had not been fixed for more than 3-4 hours. Also, the housekeeping service was not good. We stayed for four days and they did not even cleaned the bathroom and did not supply enough soaps and towels.

Location was great if you want to stay in Waikiki! We had a rental car to drive to all other parts of the island to do sight-seeing. Some great restaurants were in walking distance as well as all the shopping you could want!
