Residence Inn by Marriott Tallahassee Universities at the Capitol

Hotel appears to be new, but they were repainting the outside during our visit. Inside was very clean and very up-to-date. The location is great with respect to FSU - easy walk to campus! They also provide a warm buffet breakfast, which was fairly good. Staff servicing the breakfast could be a little more attentive as they ran out scrambled eggs one morning and had to be located to prepare more eggs for the buffet. We also liked the big, spacious rooms. Beds were a little too firm for our liking, but that is a rather personal preference I suppose. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Florida State or the Tallahassee area.

Nice hotel. However, they should not allow pets! I saw dog p..p on the carpet (on several occasions).

I honestly can't think of any way this stay could have been any better. The hotel staff, from the desk clerks to the ladies that cleaned or checked on what we needed daily, were top of the line. Friendly and courteous, always smiling. I was there for 2 weeks with 2 teenage girls attending FSU String Orchestra Camp, and I felt completely safe the entire time. The parking lot was safe and well lit so that we could attend the night concerts without worrying about the walk from the car to the hotel. The location was absolutely perfect, too. We actually walked to their morning sessions every day because it was only about 7 blocks, and almost entirely on campus. The hotel amenities were outstanding. Breakfast was not only hot, but fresh, and different items were offered daily. Monday through Thursday "dinner" was served under the disguise of "meet and greet" with the other guests! There was variety here as well. We enjoyed meatloaf, bbq, southwest salad, and more. Coctails were also served during this time. The dining staff, particularly Cynthia, also made the stay very enjoyable by taking time to sincerely get to know the guests. I'm already planning my trip for next year!

Interesting location next to train track, across the street from"this whole block for sale", gas stations on two corners. No places to eat close. Rooms large, with kitchenette. Beautiful new facility seemed a bit out of place.

Very nice hotel. Very nice stay. Minor construction outside on the sidewalk and street, but no sound interruptions heard.

It was difficult getting in and out of the parking lot but once learned it was okay. Amenities was perfect for our needs. Staff was nice and accommodating. Prices were reasonable. As long as prices and fees remain reasonable we will surely stay there again when we are in the area again.

I love this place, the staff and the amenities. Always my first choice when coming to Tallytown.

Great location if you are attending events at the Leon Co Civic center which is 1 1/2 blocks away. Clean, well equipped rooms. Only thing lacking was ice. No ice machines on the floors. Had to get it from the kitchen. Full size refrigerator in the room has icemaker but is not on and making ice until you arrive an turn it on. If they could do that in advance, then it would be perfect.
