Holiday Inn Express LAKE BUENA VISTA

Close to Disneyworld and surrounded by restaurants was good, but plan on taking three times as long to get anywhere because of traffic. Waterslide in pool was a joke-slide was so poorly maintained you had to push your way down it. We were "upgraded" to the top floor which meant waiting longer for the slow elevator and sweating while walking to our room because the hallway air conditioners could not keep up with the florida heat (blasted with heat just walking out of elevator). On first glance the room was nice sized and the beds were comfy, but the electrical outlet kept shorting out, the showerhead sprayed in every direction but down (mineral build-up), the air conditioner only got the room down to bearable temperatures despite constantly running, and there was no shower curtain. I called to complain and they did get me a shower curtain, but no other issues were fixed and no other rooms were available. Could not get a wireless internet connection despite the claim of its being available. Abandoned hotel right next door. Good (not great) breakfast, but it got to be tiresome as the variety did not change enough. Needs more laundry space as I had to spend a long time waiting for a machine to open up.

It started out okay, then the fees began. They charged an additional $8.95 per day to cover the wi-fi and room cleaning. Then when we tried to get the continental breakfast, it was for a privare party only! If you wanted to have breakfast here, you could go to Applebees which was attached to the lobby. There they had a buffet for an additional $11.99 per adult. I will never stay in another Holiday Inn again ! I would reccomend vacationing in another state. The Sea lions @ Sea World beg for handouts,I guess they learned from the state residents of Florida !

We checked out of this hotel after the first nights stay as too many areas were in need of updating or repair. One example, when we took a shower, water was spraying from the back of the spout and into the opening in the wall (scary).

Not typically a complainer but this hotel didn't compare to other hotels we've stayed at within the same price range. A/C made the room feel very damp. Toilet didn't flush right and even leaked around the bottom a bit. Bathroom smelled of mold. Breakfast was less than appetizing. Overall, it wasn't horrible but a nicer hotel can be booked for the same price. Especially in Orlando.

When I read the description at this hotel I thought it would be walking distance to disney area's and not having to rent a car but it wasnt! we had to walk quite a ways to get to areas around there. We ended up having to rent a car in the end. When we first checked in to the hotel, the air conditioning in our room was broken so they had to change rooms for us. Then a couple days later when we got back to the hotel at night we went into the bathroom and notice the toilet water had back filled.

This hotel is very dated, from the outside it looks decent, however inside the room, feel like a roadside motel that you take on a long trip. The room is quite big, even for a family w/ kids. On the downside, I felt there's not enough lighting in the room. The bathroom is clean despite the wallpaper which has peeled off in many places. The balcony door doesn't close properly and the furniture in the room felt dusty. The staff is very friendly, we arrived early and the staff made sure that we are able to check in early. It's surrounded by family friendly restaurants.

We went to Disney and the location was convienient to all 4 parks. It was clean and comfortable.breakfast was good. service was good, it was as expected for a Holiday inn.

This was a good hotel for the price. The price includes breakfast, which was good. Staff was very friendly. My husband forgot his toothbrush and they provided one at no charge. The location is great - very close to tons on restaurants and Disney parks. The shuttle to the parks only leaves at certain times, about 3 times per day, so you really have to plan ahead. We decided to drive to the parks because of this.

Disney and Seaworld is a short Distance drive. many choices to eat. hotel can do a better job in cleaning rooms.

I was visiting Walt Disney Parks from Scotland and with my two children (aged 12 and 15). The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. There was a range of food options for breakfast and the idea of free wireless internet was great (something that many hotels in the UK should emulate). The transportation to and from Disney and Universal theme parks, and to and from other parts of the city was very restricted if you do not have your own car. The coutesy bus provided by the hotel only departs from the hotel to just one theme park at 3 specific times during the day and returns at 3 specific times from the same park.
