President Hotel

Väldigt rent hotell med mysiga rum. Läget var perfekt, nära till det mesta i SoBe. Bara ett enda minus och det var att det var oerhört lyhört. Men jag skulle återvända om jag fick, dock med öronproppar.

Gut von der Lage, saubere Zimmer aber alles sehr alt, Matratze hatte Flecken, sitzmöglichkeitein waren total abgeschossen und verbraucht. Klimaanlage war sehr laut.

My friend and me loved our stay in our double bed room on the first floor. We enjoyed the staff front the funny front desk guys to the maintenance crew. Our room attendant was always on point with getting us what we needed. I would recommend this hotel as long as you are aware there are extra hotel fees and breakfast is more expensive than the hotels nearby. Other than that we had no other complaints.

Enjoyed penthouse room with balcony but be sure to ask for one of the four with the balcony/terrace. Not all penthouse rooms have them.

This is the perfect prototype of a fake boutique hotel. Not an aspiring one but a decidedly fake one. How to make a fake boutique hotel: find a great location on south beach, like an old motel. Renovate it cheaply. Build a fancy website with wide shot photos of modern furniture and posters. Add something to the effect of a pool. Show absolute disregard to noise insulation. Charge prices similar to actual boutique hotels. The rooms are renovated but finishing and furniture are cheap and scarce and seem more intended for decor than use and comfort. There is no sofa to sit on but two flimsy chairs good for decor only. Cheap spring mattress. Not enough place to put your stuff on either in the room or bathroom. no vanity in bathroom and a only a teeny tiny dressing table in the room. And the pool is a 2 by 6 yards tank in the yard not even suitable for kids swimming. It could have served as a hot tub except that it is ice cold. no heating. Another decorative feature. God, the noise! you can hear every single word or movement of a person passing in the hallway. The walls maybe okay but the doors seems to be the actual problem. Good luck with taking a nap in the afternoon. The most appalling thing to me was the attitude of absolute disregard of guests comfort. We paid $300 for a friday night stay only to wake up 8am in the morning by the horrible noise of pumps changing the water of that useless pool down in the yard. Sounded like 10 mowing machine. 8am in the morning of a saturday! Unbelievable the hotel management could be this ignorant. Perhaps the cheapest rate they could find for renting the pump machine and to the heck with guests sleeping. Breakfast is a decorative joke as well. Similar to the breakfast at a 2star motel on an interstate highway. you can pay to get omelets etc but so can you anywhere outside. the cleaning service: despite our requests to have our beds made and get new towels, we had to ask again and again. The positive things: location, cold lemony water in the lobby nice to have coming from outside, and green apples in the lobby (they should include a wide shot photo of that in the website). the wireless actually worked anytime we checked. Way too expensive for what they offer. Unfortunately we did our booking only two weeks in advance and this hotel was one of few hotels with availability. Last time we stayed in another hotel on ocean drive, which was a real nice boutique hotel, compared to which the president seems like a bad joke. Book in advance to get to real boutique hotels and don't be deceived by internet pictures.

On a budget? This is the place... it is small but some of the features are better than other hotels like closet space and the tile shower. If your aren't going to be staying in your room often then go here!

I have alot to say about this hotel. First i would like to start off with the PROS. Hotel and staff are wonderful very friendly. Everytime i have a question or need something they are always smiling and try to do everything they can. Hotel is clean and rooms are clean. Thats all i have to say with the PROS. Now with the CONS. Omg the reviews about the beds are true!!! First night i felt like i was sleeping with the springs. Everytime i moved i could feel the spring stabbing back. Im on vacation and i really need a comfortable bed and sleep. I barely slept that i woke up early enough for me to switch rooms. I told the front desk i dont really care where what floor they put me on as long as the beds are comfortable. Which they did im still not satisfied with the bed. It still hurted a little but i just dealt with it. Also the elevator. You have to wait atleast 5 mins for it so me and my partner would just walk up and down the stairs. And if we do take the elevator it would go down just as the door is about to close!! Mind you the expiration from the inspection was 9/30/2012!!! I guess thats what all hotels in miami are like! And it only holds 3 people! On the pool, its very cold i wanted to relax in the pool for a little but it was not heated it felt like ice!! Dont even bother with the beach chairs that says it comes with the RESORT FEES. They dont have lounge chairs which sucks i felt stupid asking for one in front of my date they said oh we usually give it out but since its been windy it always breaks so we dont have any!!!! Talk about spending $19 a day for resort fees. And wifi it doesnt automatically let you sign in after you already sign in. It was annoying!! And continetal breakfast. Milk, toast, orange juice, cereals, apple and THATS IT! I travel alot and i love staying at hotels because of their comfortable bed and i dont really write reviews but i have to do on this hotel. Bed in this hotel is NO NO !! No wonder when i tried to cancel my reservation because i already had a feeling i wouldnt be comfortable they said no cancellation. They couldnt even consider of the fact of the reviews i read that my main problem why i wanted to cancel was because of their BEDS!

The only good thing about this hotel experience was that I left 15 min. After check in , the room was dirty and smells like marijuana smoke . The hotel staff was Ok .

This place was great for the price we paid. However, our door would not close fully so sometimes we would return to our door cracked open a bit. Also out toilet clogged once. Other than that this place has a perfect location and a perfect price!

The beds are super noisy, and not too comfortable. Walls are super thin so we kept waking up every time someone was on the hallway. The breakfast is just cereal coffee, tea, toasts and a few pastries. And they make you pay a "resort fee" to include this. Location is great. Room is modern looking. Bathroom is pretty small.
