BEST WESTERN Durango Inn & Suites

The desk clerk upgraded our room as we had to wait a few minutes while he solved a hotel problem. Very friendly and good restaurant next door

I have liked this place for my past work trips, but on my last stay here the room had an odd smell and the keys didn't work in the locks. The entire parking lot is covered in ice - no salt or gravel- which makes for some dicey trips back to the front desk. Later in the evening, I decided to ask for a new room because of the smell and also because the front desk had booked a family with screaming kids into the room next to me at 10pm - the hotel was nearly empty, so I'm not sure why we had to have rooms right next to each other. The walls were so thin that I thought the clock radio they were blasting was the one in my room. The front desk man seemed put-out when I told him I wanted to switch. I packed my bags and got into the new room, which also had a foul smell (pets? ammonia cleaners? not sure). It made the trip exhausting.

We enjoyed our stay here, in a very pretty setting. The room was comfortable, we enjoyed the pool, in fact we had it all to ourselves. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. It was a good assortment of food.

I traveled for business and the hotel was just ok. The room was clean, but small. The breakfast was just ok. The staff, however, were very nice. If you are looking for a low cost room, this will do.

This hotel was very clean and nice. It had the suite so there was plenty of room. There were 2 beds with a tv and there was also a pull out couch with a tv in that area as well. At the back of the room, the view was very pretty. There was a little patio in the back of each room that was very nice as well:)

Had a two-room suite that was very roomy. Perfect for traveling with an almost-1-year-old. Plenty of room for him to play, and he was able to sleep in his own room. Restaurant next to hotel is very yummy and thoughtful of little ones too. We ate there twice! The first time, the host brought animal crackers. The second time, the host brought us cut banana.

decent breakfast, good location and value, all in all great for the money

I was here on business; expected something fairly decent for the rate. It was a much older hotel, which wasn't the problem as it was clean, but they need to tear down the drywall. Even though I was in a non-smoking room, it still smelled like a thousand people had sat in that room over the years puffing away while they were watching TV. Ick.
