Perfect location, quiet, room had recently been updated. Was clean and comfortable. We will come back for another visit, The continental breakfast was more than we expected. Even had cheese omlettes. Good value considering the free breakfast.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel across the street from the beach. Convenient parking, free breakfast. With the sliding glass door closed, the street noise is minimized, but you might want to ask for a room away from the street.

Close to Beach, tourist center, harbor and restaurants.

This place is steps from the beach and State Street. You cannot get a better deal in Santa Barbara.

This Best Western is in the midst of a remodel so there were some things that will change. One was the lack of heating or A/C. We stayed here in February and the weather was sunny and in the 70s during the day but in the 50s at night. It would get cold in the room at night and hot during the day. There was a ceiling fan in the room but it also didn't work. We just assumed since the A/C unit wasn't operating that the fan wasn't supposed to work either. Our mistake...the staff said we should have called them to correct the problem but offered no compensation for this issue. The hotel is also at an intersection with a traffic light so leaving the sliding door open for air was met with traffic noise as people accelerated away. The location was right across from the Harbor and right down the block from Stearn's Wharf so very convenient to our dining and whale-watching excursion. Even though our room faced the beach, the view was obstructed by trees. The continental breakfast was average. Bagels, fruit, cheese omelets, cereal and coffee. Not horrible for complimentary, but nothing special. If you got there at peak eating times, you could expect to miss at least two of these listed items as the staff wasn't too quick to replace them. The place is dog friendly, which is a plus ($20/night) and had a free crib for our baby and, like I said, was convenient to certain things for us. Overall it was average. There are plenty of places to stay in the vicinity that looked better.

Hotel was in a great location and had very good amenities.

We made these reservations based on a recommendation from a major online travel service and their discounted rate through them. Unfortunately, I found the room (while a wonderful view of the beach) sitting on top of the major vein of Santa Barbara. The noise would have been too much and I was a bit frightened by the electric plugin heater as well as the note that says, "Don't use when using the microwave". Ok for younger folks (most of whom were checking in) but not for a family or someone expecting more during their stay. The staff was super understanding and professional. We ended up at Fess Parker's Double Tree down the street. Loved it. Sorry Best Western.

The location was amazing. The staff was really helpful. the hotel isnt WOW, but all was clean and functional. I had a good experience.

Probably won't stay here again. Somebody's car alarm was going off over and over all night. In the morning, we realized that the car in question was in the hotel garage, in the space closest to the registration desk - unacceptable that management did nothing about it. Room heater didn't work, so they had a little space heater, which was either too hot or too cold. Did not appreciate surprise charges - $20 for pets and $3 for parking.
