It was a pleasant stay. It was clean and comfortable. Good hospitality. They offered water in the lobby all day with lemon slices and coffee in the morning. There is a comfortable sitting area with tv and free computers with internet.

The Residence Inn Sacremento Cal Expo was nicely located in a residential area and restaurants. An upstairs unit that was very quiet from traffic and other quests. The room was a large suit with a full kitchen, table, couch as well as the bed. Nicely decorated and was very clean. The down side was the smell when you first walked in like cigrettes or dirty carpet and the closet door was open and off the track. Since my visit was so short and arrived late and left early, I delt with the smell and didn't use the closet. Their breakfast had a nice selection and everything was hot and delecious. The lobby area where the breakfast was served had a staff member replenish the food and was very clean.

While I feel a 4 star review should indicate a pretty great hotel, please keep in mind the price point for this hotel. Given the cost of the rooms, I'd say it deserves 4 stars. Nothing really special about it but it was clean, pleasant, and friendly staff. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a inexpensive hotel that doesn't care about perks or bells and whistles.

A pleasant little place, out of the way; away from all the traffic and noise, but easy to get to and just minutes away from downtown.
The staff was very professional, proactive, always smiling and helpful.
I used the jacuzzi everyday!

My wife and I stayed four nights in "Sandman's" and we found their a very good equivalent value for our money. The Motel area and the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was a good continental one.

The Hotel room was very nice and beds were comfortable. Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful.
We also enjoyed the hot breakfast in the morning and
being able to get coffee and tea during the day.

All went well the first two days. On the third night however, several people in 2 or 3 rooms across the hall were running up and down the hall, yelling and banging doors until nearly 1am. Finally hotel security got them quiet. Then they were back at the noise at 7am. So much for a nice quiet getaway.

Enjoyed the room and the restaurant. it was so quiet and the beds were so comfortable.
I was surprised that it was a smoking room but it was not too strong an odor but that would be my only disappointment.

Sacramento is an overnight visit & we keep going back to Holiday Inn. Location is perfect: Old
town & the mall are walking distance so no car needed. Staff is very nice & the only complaint is length of time to register. Always one person on the desk & it seems to take her forever to get us registered. The lounge is attractive & convenient but when we were there at 7:30 PM not a clean table in sight & the bartender was way too busy to wait on us at the bar. So we left. But those are really the only complaints.

We were up from San Diego for a weekend of soccer with the UCSD Women’s soccer team. The area was convenient and easily accessible. The rooms were clean and nice. There is a Starbucks in the hotel. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. It also would have been nice if the hotel had a Jacuzzi. Otherwise the staff was outstanding and the hotel was clean.

Stayed for two nights at the Clarion Mansion Inn. Location was great! Close to all the attractions in downtown Sacramento such as Old Sacramento, the state capitol and the governor's mansion. Easy access to the freeway.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the rooms were generally well kept. The hotel does seem quite old and may not appear as nice because of that. But great as a place to sleep while traveling in Sacramento, and value can't be beat.

This is my second stay at this hotel in a year. The rooms are getting tired...paint needs freshening. Tiny toilet seats and showers not good if you anything above average in size. The continental breakfast was only fair.

I was in Sacramento with a co-worker for a conference and we stayed at the Residence Inn. We found the facility to be top notch! The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this Inn to anyone and would return if I am ever in that area again for business or pleasure.

We spend a lot of weekends away from home and this was by far the best value for the money. The room was large, clean, and very quiet. I have paid triple the money per night and haven't slept because you can hear the people in the room next door or walking down the hall. My husband has a bad back and the bed was extremely comfortable and he had a good nights sleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all of my friends. In fact, our friends recommended it to us. It is close to the river and old town.

Okay experience for the price. My room was on the ground floor with the door to the parking lot. Thin walls so lots of outdoor noise. Free wi-fi and thick towels was a plus. Booked during the weekend and there must have been on-site events so when I came home after dark, several entrances were blocked off so I had to drive around to find a clear entrance and then drive to my room. Maybe more lights and signage would be helpful since it is a large complex.

The staff was very helpful, but my biggest complaint is the improper advertising. The pictures on the internet DO NOT reflect the current conditions at this hotel. There was no working jacuzzi, the restaurant was not open for bkfst or lunch, the rooms had not been upgraded, the ice machine did not work, the key pad would not accept our key card, the fitness room was only 10X10 and had 3 machines. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING AND I WANT A REFUND.
I would never have booked a room if the pictures were a true reflection of the property. I will not recommend this hotel.

Hotel was clean and well kept. Indoor pool and hot tub were nice. Enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast. It was much more than expected with eggs, sausage, waffles, baggles, you name it.

I watched CNN on the nice 32 inches LG screen. Perfect size for a hotel room. Not a giant screen, not a small screen. Just the right size. I slept. I only stayed 2 quick days. I didn't know how to turn the fan on in the bathroom. There were no switches for it. Just the light switch. The free wifi worked well on the laptop but not on my cell phone. I kept losing the signal on the cell phone whereas on the laptop it was stable. Go figure. And no it was not a problem on my cell phone, because I connect to other wifi networks easily on a daily basis from the same cell phone.

Great location - was able to get to meetings around town quickly. Very spacious and quiet room. I got a great deal of work done in the evening. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will come back.

This is a great hotel if you're looking for something close(only about 10 minute drive) to the Sacramento Airport! The location is a little off the beaten path (I came in on I-5), but once I found it, it was nice and quiet! The room was impeccably clean! The staff was great; friendly and helpful. There's a great restaurant just across the parking lot, as well as two fastfood eateries and even a truckstop nearby. I will definitely stay here again.

This was my first trip "on my own" since becoming disabled. The room was nicely equipt to handle my limitations. My only complaint was that I could not get the hand held shower head disconnected from the pole. Of course I kept forgetting to ask staff for assistance. Overall, It was a wonderful place to stay.

This was a quick over night stay for business at Cal Expo. However, I would recommend to stay on the non freeway side. The room was nicely decorated.

I go to Sacramento often, and I have now found the hotel for me from now on. A clean, comfortable business hotel with a great staff, decent workout room/pool, and gathering place and bar. The breakfast was a little better than "typical."

We attended a conference while in Sacramento. We were close to our destination, had everything we needed and would stay there again, and recommend to others.

The employees were very friendly, courteous. The beds were comfortable, the room well-appointed. Loved the furnishings for the kitchen in the room.
The breakfast choices were great - something for everyone. And coffee or tea in the room?
I would be happy to refer anyone to this hotel, and I would consider going there again.

We have no complaints. Check-in and out was efficient and friendly; breakfast was very good; room was well maintained, clean and quiet. We didn't use the pool due to the weather being a bit chilly.

All staff were pleasant and outgoing. We did not find the parking situation a put-off as some had commented. The housekeeping was inconsistant from day to day as to how the bed was made, dishes washed, toiletries replaced. Quiet room, black out curtains worked very well. Exercise room very nice.

An upscale hotel with most of amenities one would expect, minus an attached garage requiring a walk across an alleyway which hurts when you pay $17 per night for the privilege. Fine in good weather but...
No ipod connections for in house music but the rooms a well appointed with 34" LCD and pillow top beds to die for. Clean kitchenettes with stainless refrigerator, microwave, granite countertops and disposal sink. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Very nice! Thank you Marriott!

This is the second time I've stayed at Arden Acres and I just love it. Location is close to everything and everyone I need to get to and see, staff is friendly and helpful, the little cottages are wonderful. I'll be staying at Arden Acres again in September.

The hotel accommodations were just what was requested, non-smoking accommodation for my adult daughter and I. We found our room clean and quiet following a fun evening at a family wedding! The staff was welcoming in every way. In addition, breakfast offered many options that met our special dietary needs. Sad, we didn't have time to lounge by the pool. Maybe next time.

I really like this hotel. It's the second time I stayed here. Great location. My only reservation is that I could hear my neighbor's television in my room.
