Great Family Stay
Sophie Station was just what our family needed. Great space and comfort, close to everything we needed. Rooms not high end, but definitely better than average hotels. Very clean and staff very helpful.

overall is good, nice and cozy, they also serve 24hrs shuttle from airport to hotel, it's sweet! and the staffs are friendly and helpful too, although it's a little bit far from down town, but still within 10 mins drive, as to the value, it's profitable!! I really enjoy staying there.

Definitely recommend!
This was the perfect place for my husband and me while we were in Fairbanks for five days to attend a number of spring events. We're both originally from Fairbanks so we're familiar with the other choices. We loved having a suite! Everything was well maintained (if a little outdated in style,) the bed was comfortable, and the rooms, well, were roomy by our standards. We were expecting two queens but were happy to find we were given a king. They also charged us less than the advertised rate. Great! There is loads of parking, and outlets are provided for plugging in vehicles in cold weather. We also had a lovely evening at their restaurant, Zacks. Our only complaint (and the only reason for not giving them five stars) was the irregular hours of housekeeping. They either came too early or too late and so we never got our room made up. Not a big deal and probably an isolated event. It certainly wouldn't keep us from staying there again! I would also like to encourage the hotel to offer the 'green' option of having your room made up but NOT changing the sheets or towels.

Sightseeing tips:
Short drive from hotel
March is a GREAT month in Fairbanks! Lots of sun and not too cold. Make sure to view the amazing ice carvings, the University Museum, go for a dog sled ride, visit the university muskox farm, see the Northern Lights and more. Beat the crowds, the mosquitoes and the summer rates!

Wonderful hotel in Fairbanks, AK
We arrived a day ahead of time for our land tour and spent the extra time seeing Fairbanks, AK. It was a nice town and the hotel was centrally located which made it easy to get around the city. The hotel offered a free shuttle which make it even better as the cost of a taxi was extremely expensive as we had to take one for a two mile trip.
