The hotel also features 5 well-equipped meeting rooms that cater to important business conferences, seminars, banquets and private festivities, accommodating up to 250 persons. During leisure, you can relax and renew your energy in the splendid pool area with a beautiful and large heated swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and solarium.

Location

Situated in the heart of the magnificent Black Forest, Colombi Hotel Freiburg is the perfect starting point for trips to the wine regions. Facing the Colombi Park with its miniature castle, the hotel is close to historic monuments and the old part of the town.

Highway A 5, exit Freiburg Mitte, direction Stadtmitte/ Rathaus / Universität. After the University, 500m on the right hand side

Restaurant

Guests can choose from any of the 3 in-house restaurants that serve a variety of delicious dishes. Snacks and regional specialities as well as various sweets such as home made cakes and tarts, pralines and petits fours are waiting for you in the cafe. The cosy bar is an ideal place to relax and enjoy a glass of fine drink after a tiring day.

The rooms of the colombi hotel vary in size from large to very large and they are kept in exceptional condition along with the bathrooms. They have been partly renovated to a very high standard and decor is simple but tasteful throughout. Double glazing ensures that rooms are quiet and the colour scheme is pale blue with light wood. All rooms are non smoking, however guests are able to smoke in the hotel's piano bar.

Restaurant
The restaurants are located on the ground floor and is a tasteful mixture of traditional and modern. There is a traditional "Stubl" seating area as well as the main restaurant with which has one Michelin Star and is more conservative and modern in decor. The hotel also has a small cafe that sells its own homemade cakes and chocolates. The Piano bar is located off the lobby and is still a smoking area of the hotel. Here you are also entertained nightly, except Sundays, by a classical pianist.

Freiburg's Best

The Columbi is perfectly located for experiencing both the University and the Old Town sections of Freiburg. The hotel's amenities and staff justify its reputation and price, and I would recommend it to a seasoned traveler or first time visitor to the area.
