The Art otel in Dresden is a lovely place. Very modern with an interesting design. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The only problem I had was with the temperature of the room. There did not seem to be any air conditioning, or I could not figure it out. It was cool outside, but, even with the windows open the room was warm. The heavy feather quilt on the bed did nothing to help this. I asked for a blanket, but all they had was another sheet to give me. Great restaurant just a few blocks away, the Schiesshaus.

Wonderful. We arrived a day early and they changed the reservation for us. It is a very short walk to the center of the city. Excellaet breakfast!

Hotel überrascht durch seine Modernität. Personal (Rezeption) ist entgegenkommend. Das Hotel liegt nur 2 Straßenb.-Haltestellen bzw. 10 Min Fußweg vom Altstadtzentrum entfernt. S-Bahn zum Flughfen 5 Min. Haltest. für Stradtrundf. u. Straßenb. 1 Min. Ruhige Lage, 10 TV Sender, Welan kostenlos. Wellnes vorhanden. Preis/Leistungsverh. Gut. Frühst. könnte günstiger sein. Es gibt aber im nahen Stadtzentrum günstige und nette Frühstücks-Restaurants. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel empfehlen.

This modern hotel is a 5 min walk from the Zwinger and opera house. It is also close to a number of tram lines. The room (I was on the 5th floor) was spacious for a German single. I liked the funky bathroom and artwork. The hotel seemed rather quite overall. The breakfast seems overpriced at 15 Euros and the front desk staff was inconsistently friendly. My floor also seemed to smell of smoke, although everything looked very clean. Wifi is included and worked fine.

Overall this was very good. The only problem was that the advertised wireless internet was so slow that I had to buy for 15 Euros per day a high speed connection.

I had a confirmed reservation for one person, one room, but hotel had three confirmation and demanded that I pay for three rooms. Naturally I refused. They wantd me to advice you before checking in, but I don't carry computers with me and don'w know how to use foreign ones. Had to wait in loby for almost an hour until they finally let me check in for one room. Breakfast was not include, and was expensive. The hotel was 5 blocks from the Semperoper instead of one so I had to take taxis both ways. Room was large and lovely but noisy street cars just outside.

good location only 15 minutes to city center. Not a bad hotel neither oustanding. the best is the price level, quite cheap.

Art'Otel in Dresden is a great experience for anyone who's used to a reasonable supply of comfort with a twist! The art in the hotel, as well as the unusual, but still very comfortable, appliances found in the room made for an interesting stay. We had fun figuring out the window with a feature to fog or de-mist, thus revealing whoever was in the restroom! There were other neat little perks about the room, including a side table that had a seat built-in, a strobe light, a sink placed on a pedestal, and more. It was a really cool hotel. My parents were visiting me in Germany, and were really impressed with the price (about $77/night.. and that's in July, a popular tourist month) and unique artistic quality to the hotel. Visitors shouldn't be disappointed. The only problem was the third bed was a bit low to the floor and not as comfortable as the other two. but still, we had a great time. It's also centrally located, within easy walking distance to the downtown, historical center.
