In close proximity of the hotel Altberlin, in Berlin Mitte, right in the city, you will find the 'Wintergarten' Variete, the Philharmonic orchestra, the cultural centre, the new national gallery, the Potsdamer Platz and the Sony centre. Further undertakings are within easy reach due to good connections to local transport. The underground station at Kurfrstenstrabe / Blowstrabe is approximately 200 m away, the underground and S-Bahn station Potsdamer Platz is about 10 minutes away on foot and there is public bus stop (Bus numbers M48 M85) right on your doorstep. Garage spaces are provided for guests who arrive by car in the neighbour builduing for 8.50 per day.

Wireless LAN internet is provided in our conference room, on two floors of the hotel and in the restaurant and the inner courtyard.

Restaurant Rikes Gasthaus
There is room for 60 guests at Rikes Gasthaus, in summer extended by our original Berlin courtyard, which houses an old fountain that was rediscovered during renovation work. Our traditional kitchen offers you a selection of cuisine from historic Berlin, as well as from the surrounding region. Many dishes have, over time, been forgotten - unrightfully, in our option - which is why we have brought them back to table. The original recepts are taken inherited cookbooks left to Rike by her grandmother. One particular culinary house specialty is our 'Coachman's Goulash'. The dish was created at the time when brewers' draymen still carted the wooden barrels on horse-drawn drays to Berlin's taverns. Braised in Berliner beer, the meat becomes tender and aromatic. Try it sometime when you come to visit our restaurant. We naturally offer beer from the traditional Schultheiss Brewery.
