Grand City Hotel Berlin Zentrum

We arrived at this hotel to be told that there was a problem with our room so we would have to stay at another hotel for the first night. The other hotel was very far out from the centre of Berlin and was above a nightclub so was very noisy. It was not what we paid for, however they did pay for a taxi to get there, provided us with free breakfast on the first morning and upgraded our room which was very considerate of them. This hotel itself is in a great location and very central. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff were all very helpful. Overall, a great stay.

wunderschöner Altbau der sehr runtergekommen und renovierungsbedürftig ist, trotzdem hat uns das Ambiente gefallen.

Great location, center of "western" Berlin Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Hotel lobby (reception desk) was a bit hard to find. Public area not so attractive... No free wi-fi.

Hotel moyen mais bien situé prës du Kurfurstendamm, bus et métro. L'accès est pénible pour des personnes agées.

La moquette était mouillée à notre arrivée. Odeur d'égout Très bon emplacement, mais on ne peut garer la voiture que dans la cour de l'hôtel moyennant 12 € par nuit. Lit très grand et confortable mais lumière insuffisante surtout pour lire. Dommage que le tarif n'inclut pas le petit déjeuner contrairement à d'autres sites

Nice hotel, excellent location and friendly staff! But it was a bit complicated to find: in my [...] reserv.confirmation it was named "Grand Hotel City Center" and also "Hotel Berlin Sun". Actually on the front side of the hotel, the sign says "Mark Hotel Meineke".

Everything about this hotel was wonderful except for the shower recess. Our room had the biggest bathroom and the smallest shower recess - we could not close the doors and shower there was just no room and we are not big people. Great locatin and within walking distance to most everything. Would stay here again.

I thought that I have a complimentary breakfast and wireless but they told me that I dont//And no AC..I am totally disappointed!

It was in a historic neighborhood in Berlin right off Kurfurstendamm straus, but everything in Berlin is pretty historic looking to someone from the states. Rooms were super clean and the beds were really comfy. Skate shop on the same block called Titus which was a great plus, but there was plenty of other shopping around the hotel. I have nothing bad at all to say about the hotel except that the internet was down the entire time I was there(4 days).

While we were at this hotel, we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. It was a bit of a long walk to the bus stop but there was plenty to do in the near vicinity. It was rather confusing that they changed their name from Grand City to Mark Hotel Meineke after we had made the reservations. At the entrance, there is an impressive staircase and beautifully painted walls.
