Perfect, just what we wanted.
We had transferred from another Bangkok hotel to the President, and we're extremely happy to have done so. Immediately you are greeted by the very attentive staff. Our rooms were clean and in good condition. The breakfast they offered had so many great selections, both western and Thai. We were very happy with the President Palace hotel. Also it's just a short walk to the Nana train stop, which made for easy access throughout the city.

Short walk from hotel
Cross Sukhumvit from Soi 11, and you'll find a nice clean restaurant called the C-cup.

Bumpy at first but got better
It was the first time for me to stay in the Sukhumvit area--probably not my favorite area but there are many hotels to choose one. I stayed here because it's centrally located. The proximatey to the Skytrain is a plus since every time we got in a taxi the traffic was bad and it took longer. Stayed at the President Palace for 3 nights while doing sight-seeing in Bangkok. The problem was we checked in late (midnight) and the night staff didn't have the room we reserved. They put us in another room and the next night made up for us by moving us to the room we requested and also gave us access to the Executive Club room, which was nice. We didn't use the swimming pool but it looked fine. This is a decent hotel, but we disliked the elavator--there were 2 of them but they were too small and cramped. Also, be aware that there are several "President" hotels in the area and many taxi drivers won't know the name. Make sure to have the address ready (in Thai preferrably).

Great location, good value for money
Really nice hotel in a great location. Concierge service excellent and everyone friendly. The hotel restuarant was "Manchester United" which felt a bit odd but it was not bad. There are lots of other alternatives near by if you want other types of food.

President Palace Rocks!
Great value. The hotel is in a great location. Nice pool, peaceful and relaxing. A pool bar where you can order food. Free breakfast - huge buffet. Small but useful fitness center. Clean and large rooms. Friendly staff, they make you feel like royalty. Free wifi with routers in each room. I have nothing negative to say about this place.

Not Applicable
Make sure taxis use the meter. They will try to negotiate a flat rate. Just say no and let them go. Eventually one will come along and agree to use the meter which is always cheaper.

We chose the president palace
We chose the president palace hotel for their club room offer: 350RM/night (roughly 63 GBP) which included free late check outs (6pm), free soft drinks and water in the lounge all day, free internet all day, 3 hrs of free cocktails and snacks in the early evening and of course breakfast... Over all the club facilities were not as good as other hotels I have stayed in, but the price reflected that - being 40 pounds a night cheaper than those hotels. The room was great, the staff were great and the location is pretty great too! (5 mins walk from Nana skytrain stop) I would definately recomend this hotel to anyone in need of a bit of luxury but not wanting to pay full on luxury prices.

This hotel is centrally located
This hotel is centrally located and offers very good value for money. We had a Club Room which was extremely spacious and gave access to the Club Lounge where free drinks & snacks are served in the afternoon. Excellent hotel for the price. Highly recommended.
