Le Fenix Sukhumvit

Väldigt nedgånget. Såg jättefräscht och fint ut på bilderna, men vi blev faktiskt ganska besvikna när vi kom dit. Såg ganska smutsigt och slitet ut. Dålig kommunikation mellan hotellet och taxin, alltså man fick dålig hjälp med att få taxi. Taxameter var det ju inget snack om, här fick man köpslå om pris. Däremot var personalen trevlig och hjälpsam i övrigt vilket vägde upp det lite grann. Vi kommer titta oss om efter ett annat hotell nästa gång.

I was here for one night on New Years, I paid $73 including tax. I had dinner on the roof then danced with Europeans. I made the reservation 5 hours before I showed up. Perfect for what I needed.

Le Fenix is OK. It is located near OSKAR and Bed Supperclub which are two HUGE plusses if you like to go out and have fun. Also across the street from Q Bar, and the NEST is on the rooftop of the hotel. My room was on the 8th floor; modern design but run-down and a bit dirty. The bed was not comfortable either, and the gym equipment was rusty and beat-up. The pool also seemed a bit gross.... All in all, this hotel has a great location, but needed some love from the maintenance team.

房間太小,太舊還有霉味

Good value for money. The staff is fantastic, highest grades for them. The location is good, near shops and restaurants, less than 15 minutes walk to Nana station and they can provide a tuc-tuc. There`s a nice bar on 2nd floor and an open one on the roof. The room had a sweet smell, a bit sickening.

This place is feeling a bit run down and the staff are at best indifferent, other than that it is quite serviceable if you get it at a reasonable price.

To be honest, my thoughts of this hotel have diminished. It's the second time I've stayed there and whilst the location and service are excellent, there was an offensive damp odour right through my floor (level 4) which was almost unbearable in my room. Having had a similiar problem in my actual apartment where I live I can tell them there's a cap missing from the bathroom drain which stops the smell coming up. Another thing is the A/C - it's so loud. I really noticed it to the point of it being unbearable on occasions this stay and I had to turn it off but was then too hot to sleep. Damned if you do, damned if you don't...

If you want to have some big night out in Bangkok, Le Fenix is a pretty good choice to stay. The rooms are clean and spacious. The Bathroom was clean as well. The Hotel is located in the main Nightlife Area of BKK. If you stay at Le Fenix you get free entrance to the main clubs like Bed Supperclub, which is just around the cornor. The Rooftop Bar has a nice view over BKK, even if the prices are high for Asia, compared to Europe its still cheap. Only the Indoor Pool and Gym was dissapointing because of the small size.

A hotel seeming to attempting to project a 'trendy' image. The location is good and the public areas are pleasing. The room was large enough and pleasant. On the down side 1. The bathroom was dated and poor. 2. No DVD player 3. After a free 2 hours there is a charge of THB 350 per day for internet. For the price asked, the downsides are disappointing. Other hotels in the same price band do not suffer from the above. SO: Not good value for money.

Rooftop restaurant "Nest" probably the most romantic restaurant in Bangkok. Small fitness and swimmingpool with high boutique factor. Carry your own bags and everything else is taken care of. Free wifi and parking. Lovely place up soi 11 and 50 meters to left. Stay away from the expencive, but average breakfast though...
