Banyan Tree Bangkok

This is obviously a very nice hotel. You will get everything you expect from a 5 star Banyan Tree. However, there are just as nice hotels in Bangkok for half the price. Everything costs extra (Internet). Good for business trips, but would recommend looking elsewhere if on vacation/holiday. Would recommend visiting the bar (not the restaurant) on the roof, but would look at other hotels if value is a concern.

Luxus pur bietet diese Hotel. Unsere One-Bedroom-Suite liess keine Wünsche offen - ein Wohn-, ein Schlaf- und ein riesiges Badezimmer mit Badewanne und Regenwalddusche. Frühstück in der Suite war im Preis inbegriffen. Sonst sind die Hoteleigenen Restaurants eher teuer, aber das Essen ist es auch Wert. Zu empfehlen ist ein Nachtessen auf dem Dach, die Sicht ist fantastisch! Allerdings auch nicht ganz billig.

I was, frankly, disappointed by the Banyan Tree. The first room I was assigned smelled of mildew; they were quite nice about first spraying the room and then moving me to anothe the next day when the spray didn't help, but a strong smell of mildew is not what you expect in a first-class hotel. The food was also a disappointment; the breakfast and dinner buffets not nearly up to the standard I have experienced in other Bangkok 5-stars. The Thai restaurant Saffron was better, although I was taken aback when the five kinds of rice available were described in terms of their supposed health-giving qualities without one word about their taste (which was pretty dry and dull)! Even the fabled spa was so-so; the massage left me the next morning not relaxed or invigorated but just sore (and I am a massage veteran), and I felt that I was being hurried along throughout. The aesthetics of the Banyan Tree are lovely, with some spectacular views, but I expected more from this brand.

Seemed geared toward business travellers, vacationers, less so.

I stayed in one bedroom suite with my friends and the service was fantastic. Especially, we enjoyed complimentary services in the club lounge including 10 min head & shoulder massage and happy hour cocktail & canapes. Breakfast was great, hotel staff were very caring, and the room was also great.

This is an upmarket hotel that provided a brilliant level of comfort, facilities and service. Not the cheapest option in Bangkok but for value it was fantastic - an experience not to be missed.

I'm an oversea born local who had embrace the Thais culture of love to discover out-of-the-way shops and passionate about food that prepare unexpectedly tasty dishes. Personally, I've tried all three prominent restaurants on this premises and would love to reccomend to everyboday to come and enjoy this gastronomic experience. My favourite dishes are the Qin set (set menu) from Bai yun and also Tom kah chicken from saffron (a creative almost fusion dish). ENJOY! P.S. My rating for the Rooms & check-in are not exactly applicable as I did not book a room with this hotel,by judging from the brand and the service they provide I'd biasly give them 5 :)

We stayed in a club room for two nights. We arranged to be picked up from the airport, service which was on time and very comfortable way to arrive into Bangkok. Check in at the club lounge was so smooth and the staff were very welcoming.

My stay was wonderful. Everything in this hotel is great ,especailly the smile of the people here are really impressive. Staffs were very attentive and responsive to our needs. Would definitely stay here again!

At first Banyan Tree looks pretty nice, classy place in the lobby. Room was decent, but all the furniture was sort of hard: the bed, couches, chairs. Kind of like it was cheap stuff made to look nice. I noticed that some of the fixturing in the bathroom like towel racks looked like they had been poorly installed. Staff was friendly, although at the Vertigo-Moon bar trying to get a drink was impossible, the staff absolutely had no clue. They were using a modern drink ordering computer but didn't seem to be very efficient at all. They need to train the staff to be more efficient.
