Ideal location for centre, nice breakfast and clean rooms.

Lovelyl room, friendly staff, delicious breakfast in the heart of the city, very happy with my stay and will book again.

Good value for money, suprised it is only 2 star as it is much better than some of the 3 star hotels I have stayed in.

Hotel in good location with easy access to York centre. Hotels' underground car park has only 18 spaces which you need to reserve before your stay, we missed out but used the nearby (3min walk) NCP car park which cost around £15 overnight. Hotel itself is clean but the decor is looking a little tired especially in the public areas. Buffet breakfast was good, room larger than expected and the staff friendly and helpful. Overall a pretty good experience for a short stay.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff was most helpful, the room was larger than most hotels in England where we have stayed before, and the restaurant was great: good food and reasonable prices.

Very well located with large rooms with nice river views. As usual in England there is not value for money - the breakfast was served as a buffet with soggy scrambled eggs and burned bacon served in a crowded and boring room, the entire hotel needs a good scrubbing and a lick of paint. We booked early for what turned out to be half term fall school break there were no spaces left in the parking garage when we arrived - if we'd known in advance we would have also booked a parking space. Who knew?

Well located; in walking distance of York railway station and within the city walls in easy reach of shops and restaurants and local attractions. Would definitely stay again.

This is a great Hotel which is perfectly situated in the center of York. The rooms are spacious and very modern/clean. The breakfast was a full English buffet and was of high quality. The staff were very helpfull and polite when approached. We were upgraded to river view upon arrival which was a nice touch. I will definately be stopping their again :) Thanks for a great weekend Queens (and York ;) )

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The mattress was the worst thing I've ever experienced. One side of it had completely collapsed and had springs coming out. Once I told staff their solution was to put blankets between the base and the mattress - why I have no idea - all that managed to do was raise the foot of the bed by 3 inches or so. Very disapointed that this hotel is recommended by [website]. Only thing going for it is the location.
