Offering host of amenities, Barcelo Oxford Hotel is a perfect venue for a pleasant as well as relaxing stay.
General

The hotel provides a well-equipped conference centre with all the necessary technical equipments and accommodates up to 320 delegates. Health conscious guests can work out at the fitness centre or unwind at the sauna.

Location

Barcelo Oxford Hotel is located 2 miles from the delightful city centre on the edge of the Cotswolds and is an ideal place for you to reside in the city of Oxford.

From the North. Take Junction 9 from the M40 following the A34 signposted South to Oxford and Newbury. At the Peartree Interchange take the A44 to Cheltenham. Following signs for the A40. You will find the hotel at the next roundabout (Wolvercote Roundabout). Take the fourth exit from the Wolvercote Roundabout. The entrance to the hotel drive is on your right. From the South on the M40. Take junction 8 off the M40, following the A40 to Oxford. At the first roundabout (Headington) take the third exit signed ring roud north A40. At the next roundabout (Cuttesloe) go straight over following signs for the A40 Cheltenham. At the third roundabout (Wolvercote) take the second exit signposted to Wolvercote and turn right into the hotel drive.
Restaurant

The modern Medio restaurant is designed to cater for couples, families and large groups and serves a variety of delicacies. The candle-lit evening ambiance sets a relaxing mood to enjoy the fine cuisine. Unwind in the comfortable Medio bar for a pre or post-dinner drink and end the evening on a positive note.

Nice but cramped

The hotel was nice and the room was clean but we were cramped for space and other than the desk chair, there was no place to sit other than on a bed. Also, the hotel provides a computer for guest use but they charge by the minute and it is expensive.

Sightseeing tips: Not Applicable

There is a bus stop on a side street within 100 yards of the entrance to the hotel parking lot. However, it cannot be seen from the hotel entrance and therefore it can easily be missed unless you ask the hotel staff. The cost of the bus fare into the middle of Oxford is cheap and it provides easy access to town. You can purchase a 24 hour pass from the driver which provides for round-trip transportation. Once you arrive in town you have access to the city tour bus, restaurants and other entertainment.

More staff, please. Why did it take 40mins to check in? - ONLY ONE PERSON ON RECEPTION! Why did it take 30 mins to check out? Hairdryer in room didn't work - poor overworked girl on reception too busy to answer phone.!!!

Really Nice but a bit out of the way

The hotel was a short city bus ride from cental Oxford but if you buy the all day pass you can tavel on all the buses everywhere around the town. The hotel was beyond our expectations. Very clean and modern at great price.

Oxford is a wonderful city. Once there you can walk to everyting.
