The Gibside Hotel is just 5 minutes from the A1M, situated in the centre of Whickham village, and an ideal location for business or pleasure. The village includes a beautiful park, selection of shops, individual restaurants, and local pubs, all within easy walking distance.

The hotel overlooks the Metrocentre, the largest indoor shopping and leisure complex in Europe, with easy access to Newcastle city centre, and the Quayside, the hub of Newcastle Nightlife. Gateshead, Durham and the regions main commercial centres are all within easy travelling distance, and the hotel is surrounded by some of the North Easts finest heritage .

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the hotel , and the hotel has extensive car parking available at the rear of the hotel.

Family weekend

Chose this hotel for a family get together in Newcastle. Good quiet location. Our room had a fantastic view over Tyne to Newcastle. Room was clean but basic. We chose the continental breakfast option which was adequate. You had to pay in cash for this at the time of eating
