Poor customer service. Arrieved at the hotel to be told my reservation had been cancelled, which I had no knowledge of.

As soon as we arrived we got a lovely reception from the staff, room was spotless and the bar area was lovely and relaxing. Just what we where after

We had a very nice overnight stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very nice, with a good selection of english and continental breakfast options. The location was ideal for us, with plenty of shops, bars, and the Arndale Shopping Center, well within walking distance. The NCP Grand car park is next door, very easy to find, and can be booked on line to avoid any worry in busy times.

Suveren beliggenhet midt i sentrum, med kun noen minutters gange fra Piccadilly Station. Større rom enn hva man er vant med i England, og forholdsvis lite støy på rommene vi hadde. Hotellet ligger "midt i mellom" byens kjente fotballlag, og vi var så heldige å møte på en resepsjonist som kunne skaffe biletter i tillegg! Frokosten prøvde vi ikke, men til £11 (febr. 2013) kan man jo spise rimelig bra frokost hvor som helst i byen...

Definitely worth the money. The room was perfect, very clean and very tidy. The staff were incredibly helpful and were very polite. It was the second time I'd stayed there and both times I found the hotel to be worth staying at and I would recommend it to anyone.

Nous y avons passé 3 nuits au mois de mai 2012 et le moins que l'on puisse dire, c'est que nous n'y retrournerons pas! Arrivée devant l'hôtel, superbe bâtiment incroyablement bien placé (à 2 min. à pied de Picadilly Station, des centres commerciaux et à 5 minutes du quartier des bars) donc excellente première impression. L'hôtesse d'accueil est charmante et nous confie rapidement notre clef. Cependant, une fois arrivés dans la chambre, c'est la désillusion : La chambre est minuscule (je n'ai jamais vu une chambre si petite, même dans un 2*!) 2 lits simples (env. 90cm) séparés par un couloir d'environ 50 cm, cela fait une chambre large de moins de 2m50 !! Passé cette surprise, direction la salle de bain. Première déception, la chasse d'eau est hors d'usage... Après un appel à la réception (cela décroche à la 3ème tentative), on nous indique d'attendre, que qqun va venir réparer. A aucun moment des excuses ne sont formulées et l'on ne nous propose nullement de changer de chambre.. Moyen.. Le réparateur vient une dizaine de minutes plus tard et met environ 10 bonnes minutes à réparer le WC (nous qui étions pressés de sortir...) Ensuite, seconde désillusion, la chambre donne directement sur les turbines d'aération et le bruit est assourdissant.. 3ème problème, lors de l'utilisation de la salle de bain, nous constatons que l'eau ne s'évacue pas dans la baignoire, elle stagne... Nous en informons donc la réception. A nouveau, pas d'excuses présentées et l'on ne nous propose toujours pas de changer de chambre! dois-je rappelerqu'il s'agit d'un 4* et non d'une auberge de jeunesse? Nous ne souhaitons pas faire d'histoire et espérons que la réapration promise par l'hôte d'acceuil sera effectuée d'ici à notre retour.. Malheureusement, le soir, nous constatons que rien n'a été fait du tout. L'eau s'évacue affreusemenet lentement et stagne dans la baignoire... Nous n'avons pas insisté davantage et nous sommes contentés de ce que nous avison mais, il est clair et net que je déconseille qui que ce soit de se rendre dans un hôtel d'apparence si prestigieux, qui offre des chambres d'une taille ridicule et ave une installation douteuse... Vraiment très décevant!

Loved the location and the helpful. But it was really cold this weekend in Manchester and so was the room and bathroom.

Compact room (not ideal if you are a little on the large side!). Everything clean, good sized flat screen TV, digital safe. Air con/heating completely controllable, but a bit noisy. Close up view of decor within bathroom revealed a bit of attention needed (not nice to see untidy, peeling bathroom sealant when you're relaxing in the bath). Could do with air extraction within bathroom. Staff in reception were professional, but in no way welcoming - completely lacking any warmth or friendliness. Didn't stay in for breakfast...much better options (& value for money) within restaurants close by in the city.
