Hyde Park Towers Hotel London

the evening manager, we called him E, was simply amazing. Other than E, the hotel was very below average. Location was great near the tube, cab access and stores for amenities you may forgot to pack. If you stay, do not get room 56. Worst room on planet. Friends were in room 11 and it was normal size, but hot with no breeze from the window.

I read lots of negative reviews about this place but I am unsure of why as it was the opposite of what I read. Room was very clean, staff was very friendly and there is no way you can beat the location of this hotel. The carpet needs replaced but it is not 5-star and I knew that going in so I was not disappointed. I would stay there again!

Also ich war im Juli in London, in dem Hotel, und ich fand es super passend für meine Reise. Ich wollte halt viel von der Stadt sehen, und mich im Hotel nur nachts und zum Frühstück aufhalten. Ich habe die Hotelbewertungen erst richtig gelesen nachdem ich gebucht hatte, und da dachte ich teilweise ok.... mal abwarten, von wegen kleine Zimmer, man hört die U- Bahn,laute Lüftung. Naja die Dinge waren auch wirlich alle so, aber hey in London sind die Zimmer fast immer klein, aber es war sauber und alles da was man brauchte. Die U-Bahn hat man auch gehört,aber nur im Hintergrund, also nicht schlimmer als wenn man in der Ferne hier in Deutschland einen Zug hört. Die Lüftung gab es auch, aber echt mit zu leben. Das Frühstück war für den Preis gut. Die Lage ist so wie so super, schön zentral und das Personal ist auch super nett. Also mir hat der Aufenthalt in dem Hotel wirklich gut gefallen und ich werde es wohl nächstes Jahr wieder buchen.

Stayed for a week, as I had pre-paid. Great location near Bayswater tube station, but the condition of the hotel beyond the lobby was revolting. Carpets threadbare and unclean, window opening onto a bare brick wall, room so small that I could not open a suitcase other than to lay it on the bed. Telephone cord ran over the headboard and under the matress! Walls paper thin - I could hear every word and movement from the neighboring room. Liquid soap dispensers in bathroom of dubious quality. Noisy renovations going on in the adjacent portion of the building. The Tube runs directly under the building, so there was vibration noise much of the day. Spent as little time in the room as possible, and would NEVER stay there again.

I was really looking forward to staying in this hotel. The location was ideal to get around and see the sights. All of the reviews that I was able to read said that the main problem was that the rooms were small. I live in NYC so I was not worried about a smaller hotel room. Plus I was a single traveler so I did not see a problem. The first night was fine, the bed was a old and not very comfortable but it was doable. I was woken up at 8am by someone knocking on my door, now keep in mind I was still on NYC time. They then told me that they needed me to change rooms because they need to started construction on the whole floor that I was staying on. Well I was not pleased but I figured don't raise a fuss your on vacation. So the second room they put me in was not special but it was a much better bed to sleep on. The next morning I was again woken up at 8 am butbthis time it was the construction workers above me doing demo work on the room directly above me. I was not thrilled yet again but it forced me to get up early and go and see the sights. Everything was ok until on the 4th day while I was in the shower the work was still going on above me, I came out of the shower to find the there was a pipe leaking on my bed. At this point I was getting very annoyed with this hotel, they moved me into my 3rd room. This room was the worst of all, not only was the bed very uncomfortable, the wifi did not work in my room. So to do any emails or Skype I had to walk to the front lobby. This was not ideal any way you look at it. You would think that at this point after 3 rooms and all if the problems that I had made the front desk aware of that someone from the management team would check in on me and see if everything was fine. Not one word!! All I have is an email of their cotsumer sevice rep. I will never be staying with this hotel again.

For the price the room is small. A down a flight of stairs hike to the room .Who ever does the handywork don't now what they are doing .However the location is outstanding .

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock des Hotels. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Entree hübsch anzusehen. Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und teilweise beschädigt, was uns allerdings nicht störte, da wir sowieso den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren. Das Frühstück konnte man jeden Tag einzeln buchen, somit waren wir ungebunden und konnten auch mal ein English breakfast in einem typischen Pub geniessen. Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein. Das Badezimmer nicht zu zweit benutzbar (ausser jemand stand in der Badewanne :-D ). Es war jedoch sauber und dies erfreute uns sehr. Die Handtücher wurden jeden Tag ausgewechselt. Das U-Bahn und Lüftungsgeräusch störte uns nur die erste Nacht, danach hatten wir uns daran gewöhnt und konnten auch bei offnenem Fenster schlafen. Für Städtereisende würde ich dieses Hotel weiterempfehlen, da man sowieso müde ins Bett fällt nachdem man London erkundet hat. Zu erwähnen ist auch, dass das Hotel in der Nähe von zwei U-Bahnstationen(Queensway(Central Line) und Bayswater (grüne und gelbe Linie)) und einer gut bedienten Busstation (Porchester Terrace) ist.

Room was not thoroughly clean. Pictures of hotel do not reflect what it actually looks like inside! Staff said my reservation was canceled - which was their mistake - and were inefficient. Location good.

Sehr schönes und ruhiges Hotel, mitten in Nottinghill. Unmittelbar in Hotelnähe ist die U-Bahnstation und auch die Bushaltestelle. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet alles was das Herz begehrt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
