Novotel Birmingham Airport

Very nice hotel. You get what you pay for with this hotel. The biggest advantage was not to have the stress of getting to the airport on the last day of the trip. Everything is in line with what is expected from the premium brand of this hotel chain. Only improvements I would say need to be done is to have more signs showing where the entrance to the hotel is inside the airport.

It's just perfect for getting up at crack of dawn to catch a transatlantic plane. Staff was helpful and friendly and there was a huge variety of food on the breakfast buffet. I felt the staff was more caring than on previous visits, making sure, for example, that I knew breakfast came with the price I had paid. My room just had a shower -- I'd have like a bath to soak away the day's travels.

Stayed here on my wedding night ready for an early flight in the morning, so it was a fleeting visit but a pleasant one. Small room but perfectly adequate and facilities & styling were good. Quiet. Directly opposite departures and walkable to hire cars. Recommended.

Clean, efficient and just in the right place for an early morning departure from Birmingham Airport.

I was in transit home to San Diego Ca after attending my sister funeral in Mansfield Notts. My room was great...even better than the Hilton at Manchester Airport and less than half the price. Location was excellant, right across the road from the airport departures pavillion. A very positive experience. I will deffinately recommend it to family and friends. dinning was pricy I ate at Witherspoons inside the airport

This hotel has a great location for travellers with an early morning flight from BHX. We had a flight leaving at 9am the next morning checked in at the hotel at 10pm the previous evening. A number of things had improved since the last time we stayed. The young woman on the desk ([...]) was extremely friendly and helpful, especially with validating the parking ticket and taking care of the luggage that we did not need in the hotel room. The time allowed by the hotel for this process has increased and this made the whole experience much more pleasant. The rooms have been refurbished and the addition of breakfast in the rate was great.

Excelent Place to stay before or after your journey - couldnt even hear the trains even though its literally in front of the terminal

This hotel has a superb location for catching an early morning flight -- an easy walk across the road and into the terminal. The problem is getting to the hotel when arriving by car, because you have to go through the short stay car park, get a ticket, get it validated at check in and get out of the lot in 15 minutes. This is not easy to to do (this was my second attempt and it still didn't work because the ticket was not correctly validated!)

The Novotel Birmingham Airport is the closest you can get without sleeping in the Airport itself. You can literally roll out of bed and into the Airport lobby. Where it all falls apart is with the service and the inability to give you fair treatment. The hotel desk staff will be hit or miss. Having stayed there already 3 times in a month and half, I found an odd language barrier causing problems in communication. If you have a problem in your room as I did on 2 occasions, you will wait. They are very short staffed. The Bar is small, has a good barkeep and nice wait staff. The prices are fair and the drinks are generous. The restaurant has a nice mixed menu. The best bargains ae to be had in their Starter, Sample or Taster part. You can have a starter portion, a sample portion which is even smaller or a taster portion somewhere inbetween the two. I ordered a taster sample and was shocked at how much food there was. The prices even by UK standards are expensive but the quality is good. So where is the problem? Well, I had to wait 45 minutes on one trip 25 minutes on another and the first trip they originally told me they could not take me till 10PM when it was only 7:15 when I checked in. If you have a 6am check in you don't really want to start to eat at 10:30PM do you? I guess on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate the hotel a 6 and the restaurant a 7 1/2. But it gets a 10 for closest to the gates.
