We stay in San Gil Hotel 3 nights. Staff very nice, rooms clean, reasonable price for breakfast. only Location not close to downtown, it takes more than 15 mins walking distance. Only this issue, other very good.

A good 45min walk from the old
A good 45min walk from the old town so not the best for that - but as we were here for only one night (after already having spent 2 nights in Sevilla), it was wasn't an important factor. Greeted with a glass of cava on arrival and was able to use the pool all day even though we had already checked out. great service!

Really attentive staff.
Interesting location away from tourist centre so local bars etc were used by locals (visit Bar Plata by Macarena gate). Lots of rehearsals going on for Semana Santa with two brotherhood houses nearby and scattered around Seville. Good bus network but beware circular route C5 (only route which takes you to centre and round most key sites) has 3 hour afternoon break and doesn't run on Sundays!Get your bonobus card for 10 bus journeys at 70c instead of full price 1.30c from kiosks. Fascinating flea market nearby in Feria on Thursday. Don't miss performance at Flamenco Museum - fantastic. If you like atmosphere, then the San Gil is a lovely place to stay with lots of original azulejos (wall tiles). Apart from the obvious (Real Alcazar and Cathedral) don't miss Casa de Pilatos, Palace of Countess of Lebrija and the fully renovated Plaza de Espana full of local families enjoying the lake etc. Reception and restaurant staff were really attentive and friendly. Ground floor room I had was spacious and disability accessible.

Sightseeing tips:
Long walk from hotel
Casa de Pilatos for its fantastic gardens and largest collection of wall tiles (azulejos)plastering the walls along with mudejar stonework and a few other marble sculptures thrown in. Free on Wednesdays currently. A place to lose yourself in. C5 bus will take you there.

Beautiful buildings inside and outside. Big modern and clean rooms. Nice people. Nice town and excellent breakfast. I would not hesitate to return to this Hotel.

Clean-good location
I stayed at the San Gil for 3 nights and then again one week later for 1 one night. The hotel staff are very lovely and helpful. The first room we had was nice, but had an ant problem. On the second visit the room was larger and no ants, however the a/c wasn't working. Even with these issues, I would recommend the hotel for its location and staff. We didn't complain about either issue because our stay was short, but I'm sure they would have changed our rooms if possible.

Hôtel agréable, un peu éloigné
Hôtel agréable, un peu éloigné du cœur historique (30 minutes à pied de la cathédrale) mais proche des principales stations de bus. Chambre spacieuse. Personnel attentif.

Très bel hôtel mais pas facile
Très bel hôtel mais pas facile d'accès. Superbe chambre malheureusement au troisième étage et pas encore d'ascenseur en service. Cuisine tout à fait correcte. Emplacement idéal pour rejoindre à pieds le centre de Séville il faut compter environ 20 minutes en passant par deux rues très commerçantes.
