The Museo Provincial De Cadiz in Plaza de Mina that contains many objects from Cadiz's 3000 year history is 4 kilometres away. The city's famous landmark, Plaza de la Catedral that houses a grandiose 18th century cathedral and the baroque Santiago church is 3 kilometres from this hotel. Gran Teatro Falla, a theatre built in the Neo-Mudejar style located in the Plaza Fragela is 5 kilometres away.

Cadiz Plaza Hotel Spa offers rejuvenating massage treatments at the onsite spa. Torre Tavira, the tallest remaining watchtower of the 18th century is 5 kilometres away. The 16th century Las Puertas de Tierra or city gate that served as the entrance to the old city is worth a visit.

Good for beach, not for old town

If you are looking for a beach hotel this is a great location directly across the street from the sand. However, if you are here to tour the old town and visit the castle, cathedral, etc., you will need to take a taxi ride that will cost about 5 Euro. There are places to eat and shop near the hotel but they are generally fastfood places and stores selling souvenirs. Our room had a balcony and a view of the playground/park as well as a partial water view. The room was larger than average for a European hotel as was the bathroom. There was only a shower, no bathtub, but the bathroom was roomy and nice. No internet access in the rooms and you have to pay for access in the lobby.
