Tryp Barcelona Apolo

Their mattresses are uncomfortable and their breakfast is overpriced, but that's standard for Barcelona. There weren't enough staff to handle all the guests, so we spent significant time waiting for them. That said, it's an inexpensive hotel in a nice location practically on top of the metro station. If you're used to European hotels, this is a good place to stay.

Great location, within walking distance of Ramblas. Excellent breakfast. Room was perfectly acceptable and kept clean to a good standard. The only complaint was a lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is nice but lacks maintenance as the sink does not drain and the towels are old. More seriously, the staff does not seem to care as one of the porters lost one of our friend's bag that contains a computer and some valuable jewelry under his care and the staff seem so casual about it. The police was called in but it was very unsatisfactory.

The location couldn't be any better- right at a convenvient Metro line, close to the water and the Gothic quater, and lots of restaurants. No hair conditioner or iron, though. And the desk staff was often overwhelmed and it took a long time to get to the front of the line. The A/C worked really well, very quiet room on the back of the building. Internet worked well. Breakfast was lovely. We would definitely stay there again.

Avons du changer de chambre, car des la première nuit un bruit de moteur électrique s'est fait entendre dans la chambre, le personnel assez sympathique a fait le nécessaire.

The hotel was great the location is perfect if you want to wlk around the city. The staff was awesome . Got in early left my bags in a secured room and left to enjoy the city. The only setback is there is no ice machine. You have to walk to the restaurant and get the ice.

This hotel is great. The location is excellent. You can walk about four blocks from the hotel to the famous La Ramblas. The staff is extremely helpful with tips on how to enjoy your stay. You can also get the Barcelona City Tours that are sold at the hotel and enjoy the city. If you like to walk like we do you can walk to the marina and then continue to Barcelonetta where there is the beach and numerous restaurants and shops. This trip was great.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We were welcomed by Oscar, at the Front Desk who checked us in quickly and, at our request, gave us a quiet room. He was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us maps and tips on sightseeing. We also booked the Barcelona Tours hop on hop off bus with him. Gracias Oscar!! Our room, 624, was very nice and well-located. It was on the sixth (top) floor on a side street on the opposite side of the hotel from the nightclub. We had a balcony (not all of the rooms have balconies) and from there could see down to the port, the statue of Christopher Columbus, and Montjuic to the other side. It was an excellent room with comfortable beds, working safe, and refrigerator. The hotel provided lots of toiletries in the bathroom and the maid was very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
