Royal Ramblas Hotel Barcelona

Fantastische ligging, modern en zeer goed onderhouden hotel. We zijn nogal moeilijk maar dit hotel beantwoordde aan al onze verwachtingen. In vergelijking met de hotels in Parijs, Londen, Lissabon etc. steekt dit hotel er met kop en schouders bovenuit! Ernaast ligt een zeer goed restaurant waar je lekker kan eten aan zeer democratische prijzen. Dubbele ruiten dus geen last van nachtlawaai. Personeel is zakelijk maar zeer professioneel.

Staff was very helpful with questions/suggestions. The hotel is artfully decorated, clean, and welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The room overlooked the busy street and walkway of Las Ramblas. Lots of activity from street performers to fresh flower stands. The centrally located facility offered close Metro access and sightseeing. There was some construction going on at the hotel during the day, but nice and quiet at night. After visiting 5 other cities in Spain, we found this facility to be a quality stay.

Das Hotel befindet sich an idealer Lage am Anfang der Ramlas, in unmittelbarer Nähe der Placa Catalunya. U-Bahn Station, Bankomaten, Taxis, Supermarkt, alles befindet sich in nächster Nähe. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 5. Stock mit Aussicht auf die Ramblas. Die Zimmer sind zwar ein bisschen eng, aber ok. Der Lärm von der Strasse war nicht hörbar, d.h. die Fenster sind gut isoliert. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass die Badezimmer nicht so schalldicht sind, d.h. man hört gut, wenn die Nachbarn duschen oder die WC-Spülung bedienen. Zur Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes (Anfang März 12) war das Restaurant des Hotels gerade im Umbau, daher können wir keine Beurteilung zur Verpflegung machen. Das Frühstück konnten wir aber im Hotel gegenüber einnehmen. Das Hotel können wir also weiterempfehlen.

Bon emplacement et l'isolation des fenêtres fait que le bruit de la Rambla n'est pas dérangeant. En mars 2011, des rénovations du rez-de-chaussée rendaient le lobby bruyant. Une belle salle surplombant la Rambla permet de prendre le petit déjeuner en observant la faune touristique. Le personnel était gentil et accomodant.

The Royal Ramblas is an excellent hotel in all respects. It is within walking distance to the opera, the exquisite concert hall, the old gothic town and the cathedral. It is one short block from the Plaza Catalonia which is the virtual center of the city. You will find an information kiosk here, as well as the tour busses, restaurants, and the massive department store that must be one of the largest in Europe. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the service was marvelous. Go off the Ramblas to eat, however. Explore the alleys for the best food. We hit upon a restaurant called "Taller de Tapas", where we ate several times and had wonderful regional food -- tapas, paella. Iberian sausage and white beans, scrumptious fish dishes, and the best of Catalan wines and sangrias.

Only stayed one night. It said rooms were soundproof but we stayed in a room with a street riew and it was noisy. Carpet in the hallways need to be replaced.

the hotel is situated in the best posible place, easy to come around Barcelona, buses and subway 2 minutes away.
